Collins led 14-9 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for a 49-9 victory over Lafayette. Kade Goodin was unstoppable tonight as he threw for five touchdowns and added two more touchdowns o the ground. Collins had 18 first downs and 409 yards of total offense. They were penalized seven times for 60 yards and had one pass intercepted. Lafayette recorded 10 first downs and 197 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized 12 times for 70 yards.
Kade Goodin led Collins ground game with 95 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. A’Davion Dale carried the ball once for 27 yards. Caleb Askew carried the ball six times for 25 yards. Kade Goodin completed 17 of 26 passes for 255 yards and five touchdowns with one interception. Jason Hence caught five passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Aviyan Delaney added four receptions for 86 yards and two touchdowns. L. Huelsman recorded two catches for 13 yards and a touchdown. Jack McIntyre added a 42 yard interception. Dajari Hardy returned three kickoffs for 75 yards with a long return of 27 yards and returned one punt for 13 yards. Gage Miller was seven of seven on extra point conversions, punted twice for a 38.0 average, and kicked off seven times for a 56.0 average with three touch backs. Clay England led the defense with four solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Dajari Hardy added five solo and two assisted tackles. Isaac Estrada recorded eight assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Tre England chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.
Jehovanis Kondo led Lafayette’s ground game with 52 yards on nine carries. Harrison Stephens carried the ball 10 times for 41 yards. Jehovanis Kondo completed seven of 20 passes for 81 yards and one touchdown. Cale Locklar caught five passes for 37 yards. Jackson Grantz caught a 36 yard touchdown pass. JJ Richardson returned four kickoffs for 73 yards with a long return of 25 yards. Jackson Grantz led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles. Zhian Harmon added four solo tackles. Jake Jacobs recorded three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss. JJ Richardson intercepted a pass.
