FWO Roleplaying Guide
Fantasy Wrestling Online is one of the top e-feds in the world because of it's wrestlers. We here at the FWO are always looking to improve ourselves and we've decided to add this little guide for roleplaying to help you better understand what we are looking for in the FWO. Please direct any questions or comments about this guide to the FWO Front Office. Thanks and enjoy!

1. First and foremost, try and use correct grammar and spelling. I know that this shouldn't be the focus of each and every roleplay, but it will make you look ten times better if you speak correctly and have everything spelled. A good way to help with this is to write your roleplays in a program like Word or WordPerfect that has a grammar and spell check that you can use.

2. Try to use HTML. I know that this isn't the easiest thing in the world to do, but the more you practice it, the better you'll get. I recommend getting a message board all to yourself and practicing this HTML technique. The 'insidetheweb' boards are free and can be set up rather quickly. There's a link at the top of each of our webboards if you wish to do this. There are also some helpful links here to some HTML Helper websites I have used a lot. Feel free to go to these sites and bookmark them for your own personal use.

3. Roleplay as often as possible. I'm not saying 10 times a day or anything, but at least one every other day. And make them quality roleplays. Even if you don't have a match during the week, if you want true 'heat' brought onto your wrestler, you will roleplay consistantly!!! What I mean by 'heat' is simply this: heat is the amount of respect you get from the rest of the efed and the staff of the FWO. The more 'heat', the better your chances of winning a match. And the way you improve your Heat Rating is thru QUALITY ROLEPLAYING! What I mean by quality is that it's something other than "Oh, I'm gonna kick your @ss" or "I'm gonna get the pin, 1, 2, 3!!". Create a scene and follow the angle. I'll work with you on your angles and we'll create some great stuff, but you as the wrestler need to roleplay to make it happen.

4. Don't ever complain about losing. If you want to talk about a loss, talk about how it was that you lost, and that it doesn't matter because you're gonna get 'em next time. I wanna see that kind of attitude in my wrestlers. If you are talking about how you should not have lost on the Roleplay board, you will be jobbed, and there's nothing you can do about it. Remember, past success is no guarantee to future glory. Just because you won today doesn't mean you'll win tomorrow. Work hard and you'll be rewarded. Don't work, and well, you'll see.

5. No discussing angles or storylines on either board! Do this in private, via email or ICQ. If I see anyone discussing or revealing angles on the OOC board or Roleplaying board, you will receive a warning from me, and if you have already received a warning, you will be fired on the spot, no questions asked. I will not tolerate revealing angles here in this efed. It's not professional and it's not cool.

6. If you have a problem with anything that's going on, don't take it out on the Roleplay board. Email the Owner, unless the problem you have is in character. If that's the case, then by all means, let me hear it on the RP board. But don't bring personal issues into the Roleplay board while you are in character. Stay in character at all times while roleplaying.

7. We won't hesitate to JOB you if you become inactive in your roleplaying. When we do JOB you as a wrestler, you are effectively removed from the active Roster page and also your contract is stripped from you. The ONLY way to get back into the big leagues is to roleplay your request on the Power Plant board. Also, contact the Owner or President about your dismissal. If we do bring you back, we will extend a probationary contract to you and reinstate you on the Roster. If you do become inactive, or want to take a break from the action, then the best thing you can do is email the Owner or President, asking for a vacation. We'll either write in an injury for you or just simply announce that this particular wrestler is taking a vacation. Just don't stop roleplaying with no rhyme or reason. It can do nothing but hurt your wrestler.
