Well Dean now has a job and I have retired :) Oh I love staying home!!! The house is so peacful and quiet. I get a lot of cleaning and yard work done now that I have time for such things. I did, however, buy an exercise video so I can keep in shape (as though pulling weeds and cleaning don't help with that) I am still going to study personal training and once I get bored with being home I can get back into that field.
To relax I enjoy music, playing on the computer, talking to family and friends, drawing, and hiking and a new favorite...playing darts. Dean and I bought a dart board this Christmas and we compete with each other to see who can win the most games. We are pretty close competition for each other and have a great time playing!. I also love to sit outside with a glass of wine, with Dean and watch the storms circle our area. The thunder and lightening are very relaxing.
Las Vegas is my favorite vacation spot, cant possibly go there to much. There are so many things to see and do.
Dean flew me to the U.K. for my birthday in 2004 and I spent 3 glorious weeks visiting family and touring the country side! God's own back yard I call it. I can't wait to take the kids. I know they will enjoy it as much as I did! I was quite amazed at how different things are there. Everything from driving to eating is much different and takes a little getting used to. It was strange to come back here and see all the dead weeds and dry lands opposed to the millions of flowers and moist greenery of the U.K. I will take the green thank you!
The people there are much friendlier. Hi's and hello's every where you go. Service with a smile and courteous drivers sure made for a change.
I was quite lucky to be able to visit Stonehenge, Dan-yr-Ogof, West Midland Safari Park, Castles, and Tintagel (my favorite place there)! Right on the ocean, where King Arthur's castle and Merlin's cave are yours for the exploring.
The weather was quite nice..a little windy and cool a couple of days, rain 2-3 days. Rain so light at times that you didn't even notice that it was raining except to see it on the ground, more of a mist. We also went on a couple of hikes up local mountains. It was wonderful! One of my favorite memories was when Mum and I sat outside on the swing drinking our coffee and eating Welsh cakes while it misted on us.
Another favorite memorie was when Dean and I went on an 11 hour semi trip with Dad, hauling cows and sheep. We went all the way from South Wales to North Wales and back. Weaving our way in and out of England the whole while. What a way to see the country! Puts you nice and high so you can see everything.
The Dodge Viper is definatly my favorite car, tho if I were to buy one it would be pitch black without the viper stripes.
I love all kinds of music but Country music is what I listen to most faithfully
My favorite scent and taste is vanilla.
I love Italian food and eat it the most, everything I have ever tried was wonderful.
My motto is "Live life each day to its fullest".
One of my hobbies is cooking. Give me a kitchen full of supplies, a little music, a glass of wine and I'll be happy for hours. I cook more Italian and Mexican food than I do American. Grilling, to me, is the most fun. In the summer I do more grilling than anything. Less mess and gives me a chance to get some fresh air. I have included a few of our favourite recipes, give them a try and let me know what you think.
