TintagelI could have stayed here all day, ok all my life really. This place had so much magic and mystery that it put a spell of me immediatly! A nice house on the cliff over looking the ocean.

Having a Seat
The road down to this place is extremely steep. Going down is not so bad...going up however...well WOW! Talk about leg cramps! They do have benches and drink and ice cream stands for those who are brave enough to venture back up on foot. On our second trip we took the Land Rover. Dean thought it was silly but I guess he didn't want to carry me all the way up that hill..cause he paid for the trip up. |
Merlins Cave
Merlins cave goes out to the ocean from both sides depending where the tide is. We stood in the middle of the cave and could not go any further because the water came up the the middle of the cave. We could see through to the other side but not reach it on foot..well we might have if we had wanted wet knees! |
King Arthur
This is the stuff legands are made of!No one is quite sure how much of King Arthurs tale is true and how much is myth and sadley to say theres not much left of the castle either. It is a lovely site though and I would not have missed it for the world. |
