Good news, people: Our Story is officially back on track.  Dragonair and Lorli chan have joined the dream writing team, and are using their wonderful talent to bring new freshness and life into the dormant story.  Together, they finished Chapter 16, which is already up and ready for reading, along with Dragonair's bio.

As for my customary gaming update, I've finished Metroid Fusion (very good), Super Metroid (awesome), Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (also awesome), Chrono Cross (not bad), and the first castle in Castlevania: SotN.  Now I'm working on Metroid Prime, Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, and Golden Sun.  Too many games?  No such thing!  I also watched Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers.  Me happy!  Smeagol funny!

Oh yeah, almost forgot.  This site has now broken 1000 hits!  Thanks to everyone who cared enough to visit this pathetic place.  I love you all!  (I think.)

You might be wondering what in the world happened to Our Story.  Well, so am I.  I mean, what was I waiting for?!  I may never remember, but there's no reason to keep everyone else waiting because I have Alzheimer's...

Even so, it might be too late for Our Story.  Virtually all the writers have either gone AWOL, forgotten about it, or simply lost interest.  I might be largely to blame...I got caught up in building this page and started "evaluating" submissions.  Soon, I became a bottleneck, and eventually smothered the entire thing to death.  For this I apologize.  From now on, Our Story is back to its open submission policy.  Anyone can submit anything they want.  So what're you waiting for??  Chapter 16 needs an author!

Oh, and BTW, I just beat Rogue Leader.  ^_^  It's a great game, but the controls definitely need some work...

Well, the fall semester's almost over (noooo...not already ;_;), and I'm just about to finish Calculus II, General Physics I, and a basic C++ course.  But who wants to know about what I'm doing in school?  Not you, that's for sure. :P

Anyway, I've FINALLY beat Panzer Dragoon Saga.  I can die in peace now.  :*)  But seriously, I wish everyone could play it...I guess the closest most people will get is Orta, though.  Speaking of which, I tried out the demo (thanks to my bro's OXM subscription =D), and it isn't too bad.  The graphics are indeed impressive, although like a lot of Xbox games, they're quite dark in general.  Orta herself could also use a lot of improvement. -_-;;

I've ALSO happened to beat the original Panzer Dragoon (nice shooter), as well as Devil May Cry (if coolness were game, this would be it) and Ico (the same for beauty).  I would write "reviews" for them, but I'm too busy trying to beat Chrono Cross, FF VII, Castlevania: SotN, Rogue Leader, and my other million and one video games before I graduate and have to leave them all behind (they were never mine in the first place ^_^;;).  All while juggling homework, college applications, and other time-consuming activities like my web site.  So don't be surprised if I'm writing from my dorm room the next time you hear from me.  ^_^

But until then, enjoy the newest recordings on my music page.  I've added quite a few since my last update.  :)

Oh yeah, and last but not least...happy Thanksgiving everyone. =)

Well, summer school's over, and summer pretty much is, too.  Over the last half-year, I've finished Calculus I, Chemistry I, and Chemistry II.  I also finished several games, including Paper Mario, Final Fantasy Adventure (also known as Seiken Densetsu), and Jet Grind Radio.  Also, my cousin considerately decided to leave his Saturn behind, but I STILL haven't beaten Panzer Dragoon Saga!  I'm in the last "dungeon," so a good hour or two should be enough time for me to finally finish this awesome game.  I can NOT wait for Panzer Dragoon Orta...

Speaking of which, my brother has been obsessed with winning free stuff online for a long time.  A few months ago, it finally paid off when, after spending hours upon hours playing online Toyota slot-car racing, he won the grand prize: a Microsoft X-Box.  It came with some peripherals and four sports/racing games (meh) which he promptly traded for Halo, Dead or Alive 3, Munch's Oddyssey, and a whole bunch of other much cooler games.  He's a bit paranoid about my parents, however, so I haven't had the chance to play any of it much.  I haven't even beaten the second mission of Halo, but what I've played so far is very good.  At least now I don't have to worry about never being able to play Panzer Dragoon Orta or Shenmue II...

As for music, I've got a TON of new recordings since I last updated.  Less static, less noise, better encoding, they're a VAST improvement over my old recordings.  Of course, they could still use a lot of work, but they're not nearly so literally painful to listen to anymore.  Go head over to the Music page to hear the difference for yourself.

I added a couple reviews and links as well.  Final Fantasy Adventure and Star Wars: Episode II reviews are currently in progress, so stay tuned.  I'll try not to wait seven months before my next update again.  ;)

Apologies to anyone who actually checks this page once in a while.  A lot of changes since the new school semester started, i.e., (duh) school.  I'm currently enrolled in a very nice community college (complete with T3's, yeah baby!) and am about to finish trigonometry, Music Theory I, and Programming Fundamentals.  With summer break, though, come visiting relatives, and with visiting relatives come a Sega Saturn and Panzer Dragoon Saga, and Grandia, and Shining Force III (yes, all three of them ;P ), and...hey, stop drooling, or staring, or whatever it is you're doing right now!  Now, before you murder me with your looks, just remember that winter break is closing in, and with winter break come the same visiting relatives, who leave with their Saturn and games.  :(  Need...more...PDS...

Now that I'm done with my unspectacular update, take some time to look around.  Notice anything different?  No, it's not my hair!!  It's the link to your left that used to be called "Gaming"!  I figured that since it isn't really much more than a generic list of good games, I should either tell you exactly WHY I love every single one of those games, or just simply delete it altogether.  Fortunately, I picked the first choice, and since the new section is very broadly labeled "Reviews," I can review not only games, but anything from movies to music (including movies and music ;) ).

Well, even after a 9-month pregnancy, Our Story still isn't quite ready to give birth, but I thought I should at least throw you a freakin' bone.  So here they are: Chapter 13, Chapter 14, and Chapter 15 for your preemie pleasure.  Also, since the second cover page is so much better than the first one and it's the one I'm always linking to, I've decided to just completely replace the first one with it.  If you happen to like the old one better, just let me know.

So now the GBA is out and I don't have one (argh, Arctic or Glacier?), but since last month I've had the chance to play Chrono Cross and Oracle of Ages, both excellent excellent games.  I also found information on some very well-unknown video games that Squaresoft made for the BSX, a Super Famicom (Super NES) add-on.  You can find out more about the most interesting one here.

Hmmmm...two months?  Feels like two weeks.  You'd expect I'd have a huge update waiting for you, wouldn't you?  Sorry...expect again.  Okay, okay, just for you, I'll change the font.  But other than that, it's just a couple more bios and a new cover page for Our Story.  I think I also recorded an extra song or two, but I'm not sure...see for yourself.  ;)

Speaking of songs, I got $225 for winning second place at a piano competition.  Pretty sweet, huh?  I see a Game Boy Advance in my future.

Also, I started and beat Grandia II since my last update.  Pretty fun if I do say so myself.  Kudos to Game Arts, and especially to Iwadare-san, the composer.  Some very nice work on his part.

3-15-01
Hahaha, you thought it be another whole month before I updated, didn't you?  Well, you were WRONG!  I beat you by TWO WHOLE DAYS!!  Mwahahaha!  Anyway, I'm proud to announce that I've completed my Majora's Mask Anju and Kafei sidequest walkthrough, so if you happen to be having a little trouble with it, this is your lucky day!  This actually started out as an assignment for VGX's Oddity of Hyrule site, but I see no reason why I can't post my own work on my own site.  Send every single comment and suggestion you have to me at atihsu@juno.com.  They would be most appreciated.

Hey, we've gotten a new development on Our Story!  A mystery writer (well, to most people at least...) has written a section so big it puts everyone else's to shame.  Although it picks up right where I left off (whoo-hoo!), we're still not absolutely sure whether to use it now or save it for later (kinda like money, huh?), since it really is a big plot twist.  We should arrive at a decision pretty soon.  I'll keep you posted!

I also added a couple songs to the music page while you were gone.  ;)  Still working on the static!

And the latest game I've beaten is...Chrono Trigger!  A work of art, I tell ya.  I've already gotten three endings, but I don't think I'll be trying to get the other eight or so any time soon.  Maybe when I retire...

2-17-01
Sorry, guys, it's not a story update.  It's something better (or worse, depending on how you look at it).  Anyway, I've put up a new music page with four songs in it already for your listening pleasure/torture.  Yeah, it's that shiny new link to your left!  I've only got recordings of me playing Final Fantasy music for now, but I hope to expand to other games and classical music pieces as well sometime in the future.  So what are you waiting for?  Go ahead and give 'em a listen-hear!

Oh yeah, and I just beat Final Fantasy pretty recently.  Now I should be able to beat ANY Square RPG!  Hahaha!  Chrono Trigger happens to be the one I'm working on now, and I've decided to start playing Riven again (for the fourth time or so).  Wish me luck!

1-6-2001
Happy New Year!  A little late for that, huh?  Hehe.  Anyway, all I did was fix a few links and add some more.  Chapter 13 of Our Story needs a filler for what actually happens after Marley dies, so until someone writes something, I won't be able to post anything.

I also beat Grim Fandango (awesome game!!) so now I'm working on my borrowed copy of Final Fantasy I.  Hope I can return it sooner than Grim Fandango (I've have Grim for just about a year now).  Wish me luck!  Oh, and thanks, Jeff, for signing my guestbook...again.  =)

12-30-00
Well, whaddaya know, Eldaron has finally sent in his biography!  Check it out and keep 'em coming!  Chapter 13 is actually already pretty much done, but I still need more time to adjust to the new additions.  Until then, you can check out the boards for the latest and greatest submissions.

I've beaten Majora's Mask (although I can't honestly say I've finished it) and am about halfway through the fourth year of Grim Fandango.  Both are extraordinary games.  I hope the games I play in the future continue to be of such excellent quality.

12-9-00
I've put up three more biographies: Dhsu,Maverick, and Neo.  You can be famous, too!  Just post whatever you feel readers should know about your character on the "Our Story" thread at the Khakain EZBoards or e-mail it to me at atihsu@juno.com.  If you're not part of the story...well, there's no reason you shouldn't be!  Feel free to just introduce yourself right into the story.  Nothing stupid, though!

If you're interested in my gaming life (<--- oxymoron, haha), I've just completed the Woodfall Temple in Majora's Mask, I'm about to tackle the Mountain of Woe in Chrono Trigger, and I've just had a not-so-joyful reunion with Meche in Grim Fandango.  Talk about multi-tasking.

11-22-00
Whoa, almost broke the two-month mark there.  But now, without further delay, here are the fully completed chapters 11 and 12 of Our Story!  Also, check out the nifty new character biographies on the cover page.  Come on, hurry up, I need more, people!

In other news, I've gotten my hands on Majora's Mask, and despite my efforts not to get too hyped up, I'm really excited about playing this game.  So far, it's exceeded all my expectations.  I'm also juggling several other games at the moment, including Chrono Trigger (it rocks!  I hope Chrono Cross is even better), Grim Fandango (stuck...again), and Final Fantasy I (yes, the very first one for the original NES).  I hope to play the ninth game in the series soon.

9-26-00
A month and three days.  Yes, that's how long it takes for me to write another chapter, even with the help of Belisarius.  I just hope it's worth it.  So, without further ado, heeeere's Chapter 12!  Check out the new cover design, too!  Our Story now has an official logo, courtesy of Roland.  =)

8-23-00
Well, whaddaya know, Belisarius has finally gotten around to sending my that last story fragment!  Therefore, you can now read the fully completed Chapter 10 and the brand new Chapter 11.  Enjoy.

8-12-00
Wow, long time no update.  But a big update it is, eh?  Like it?  Hate it?  E-mail me, or voice your opinions in my guestbook.  Who needs a message board when you have one of these handy little things?

In other news, my Zelda 64 boss/mini-boss FAQ was not posted at GameFAQs, for reasons you can imagine, but you can still access the latest version here and only here at the files section!  Speaking of which, you can now go there and download the cute sound effect that a happy Chocobo makes in FF VII.  Short and sweet.

Chapter 7 of the FF VII story has been revised and uploaded!!  Check it out! Our Story is on hold for the moment due to lack of participation.  I hope I can finish the story if I have enough time.  I've been playing lots of games lately, so that takes up much time.  I'm still considering whether I should include them all in the gaming section.

Please check the URL...errrr, actually, I moved the last 20 updates to the old news page.  Go there for all the exclusive tabloids you missed.  =)  Also, I've added major revisions to my Zelda 64 boss guide, and I'm sending it to GameFAQs, even though there are already six other boss FAQs there.  There's no harm in trying, though, right?  I hope it turns out to be the best Z64 boss/mini-boss guide ever.  Ah, forget that, I just hope it gets posted!

On a different note, I've just discovered the wonder of tables (no, not the things you eat on), and I'm thinking of remodeling the whole site by moving all the navigation links at the top of the page to the left the page.  So far, it looks pretty cool and it's getting along well.  Check out the temporary index page with tables here.  If it all works out, the format will become permanent and completely replace the old one.  I've also added another fancy logo to my FF7 story cover page.  How d'ya like it?
