These reviews will generally be in "gripe" format, meaning that I'll bash whatever I'm reviewing to the point of ridiculousness.  Obviously, they're not to be taken seriously, although they usually have good point or two...

Games

Chrono Trigger - One of the most beautiful games for SNES, and the best in many people's opinions.  Recently re-released as part of Final Fantasy Chronicles, it now includes tons of anime sequences by the famous Akira Toriyama, Chrono Trigger's character designer.
Paper Mario - The sequel to Super Mario RPG.  I was disappointed by this game at first, but eventually it grew on me, and suddenly I found that I couldn't put it down.  Watch out for lethal amounts of cuteness.
Jet Grind Radio - "Funky" is the only word I can think of to describe this game.  Cel-shaded graphics, addicting gameplay, and a unique soundtrack all make this game an interesting experience.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - No doubt about it, one of THE best games of all time.  Something I'd want to be stuck on an island with. With its big 3-D environments and innovative gameplay, I don't understand how anyone can not love this game.
Super Mario 64 - Who can resist a short, fat Italian plumber on a quest to save a beautiful princess being held hostage by a big monster with a spiky shell?  Wait...that didn't come out right.  Oh well, once a classic, always a classic.
Mario Kart 64 - Nintendo has a knack for making games with a huge fun factor suitable for the whole family.  This is no exception.
Starfox 64 - James McCloud is gone, but his son Fox takes his place in the Arwing in this action-packed flying simulation game.  One of the first games to utilize the Rumble Pak.
Super Smash Brothers - The all-star Nintendo fighting game.  Includes the great fun factor you've come to expect from Nintendo with all your favorite characters including the Mario brothers, Samus Aran, Fox McCloud, and Ness.  Single player gets boring, but when you have 2 or more friends over, it's a blast!
Final Fantasy VII - The other best game of all time.
Final Fantasy VIII - If you have a sweet tooth for eye candy, this is the game to play.  I was pretty much blown away by this game's phenomenal graphics.  You can read my review here.
EarthBound - Weird, wacky, simply wonderful.  Only for those with a good (and maybe sick) sense of humor.
Final Fantasy V - With it's unique and deep Job System, you can change your characters' abilities at your whim in the blink of an eye.  Now available as part of the Final Fantasy Anthology which includes FF V, VI, and a soundtrack containing songs selected from both games.
Final Fantasy VI - Known as Final Fantasy III for the Super NES.  If you're looking for something that's fast-paced, has a great magic system, cool characters, and impressive graphics, then this is the game for you.  Also part of the Final Fantasy Anthology for the Sony PlayStation.
StarCraft - The most addicting game since Solitaire.
Command & Conquer series - I like the feel and format of these games.
MechWarrior 2 - If you blow up everything that moves in this game, you FAIL.  Requires some serious strategy.
Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure - Probably never heard of this game, but it's got really good graphics considering when it was made and its extremely low system requirements (Gouraud-shaded polygons at 25 Mhz?!).  Full voice acting.
Grim Fandango - This really gives your brain a workout.  A fully 3-D epic tale of crime and corruption in the Land of the Dead starring your favorite bag of bones, Manny Calavera.  You need a good sense of humor for this one, too.
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis - Another LucasArts graphic adventure masterpiece starring none other than the most famous archaeologist of all time.
Myst - Boring for some, not so boring for others like me.  As you can see by now, I like games that make my brain hurt.
Riven - Haven't finished this one.  I've lost the motivation for it--it's too hard!  I just don't have the patience to keep going back and forth to see what happened when I hit this switch or pulled this lever.
X-wing vs. TIE Fighter - Ever wanted to fly a Rebel X-Wing or pilot an Imperial TIE Fighter?  Well, now's your chance with this addictive flight simulation.  Blast your friends, too, with its excellent multiplayer support.
Lemmings - What?!?  My official hardest game on earth.  I still haven't beaten it and I don't know anyone who has.  If you have, I'd love to hear from you.
Scorched Earth - A really cool tank game, basically an advanced version of QBasic Gorilla back in the old days.  Tons of weapons, shields, and guidance systems with configurable environment settings like wind and gravity.  You'll also love the hilarious comments as the tanks bicker with one another.  A good party game.
Atomic Bomberman - Now for the PC, the famous arsonist is back and badder than ever.  Same 2D format but with all-new graphics and sound.  Great multi-player game.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Many argue that this Super NES game is better than its N64 counterpart, but I find it a micro-notch below Zelda 64.
Super Mario RPG - Another Square masterpiece, this game is perfect for beginning RPGers.  I love the "timed hits" concept where you can determine to an extent how much damage your characters deal.  You don't have to sit there while enemies harrass you; you can actually halve the damage if you time your defense right.  Tons of cool mini-games and revolutionary graphics (for the SNES).
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron - Available for both the N64 and PC, this is a severely underrated game in my opinion.  With a great story and outstanding graphics (even better with the Expansion Pak!), this is a must for Star Wars and flight simulation fans.  Packs a few secrets that will delight Episode I fans, too.  Don't miss the spectacular sequel, Rogue Leader, for the Nintendo GameCube.
LOOM - The fabric of existence is beginning to fray.  Will Bobbin Threadbare be able to stop it?
The Incredible Machine 2 - TIM2 for short.  Create insanely complex machines to accomplish the most simple tasks like opening cans and turning on light switches.  Take out a few pieces from the machine, and you've got a puzzle game that'll keep you scratching your head for hours.  Gives you unlimited playability by letting you create your own wacky machines and puzzles.
King's Quest VI - An entertaining adventure game with a great storyline and unique puzzles.  You need fast reflexes in certain parts of the game, and the story can change, depending on how you play the game.  Warning: you can get stuck and be forced to play the whole thing over again, often when you're near the end of the game because you missed something near the beginning.
Mario Party - The ultimate board game, from the creators of the Bomberman series.  Instead of buying property and paying rent, you play mini-games and annoy your friends.  Be prepared to have raw hands after ten 50-turn games in a row.  The sequel to this game is already out, but I haven't played it too much.
Pokémon Snap - This game bears a striking resemblance to Starfox 64, but you shoot Pokémon instead of bad guys.  You can also print out your favorite pictures as thumb-sized stickers.  Take your best shot!
Donkey Kong 64 - Sheesh, you'd think they'd come up with a more original name (not to mention storyline) this time.  Well, as usual K. Rool has again stolen Donkey's banana hoard, but this time he's kidnapped his friends, too.  Three new characters (two are relatives of older ones), beautiful graphics (requires the included Expansion Pak), and tons of 3-D action and puzzles (it's not just hop and bop anymore!).
Kirby's Dreamland 3 - He's pink, he's puffy, and he can kick some major butt.  He sucks up enemies and gains their abilities by swallowing them.  He also saves the universe from the Dark Matter, who is almost the exact opposite of Kirby (but bears a striking resemblance to his playable partner, Gooey), and much bigger.  Not bad for an omnivorous marshmallow.
Panzer Dragoon Saga - Words cannot describe this Sega Saturn game's sheer beauty.  Arguably the best console RPG.  Ever.  Too bad it's also one of the rarest.
