Frohike's X-Profile

FROHIKE

FULL NAME: Melvin Frohike

Appearence: short, perpetually unshaven and combat boot-clad

EXPERT IN: Photographic and surveillance specialist, he's the hands-on technical member of the group, a master of hard sciences with  a special interest in military hardware; also  skilled computer hacker (though not as good as Langly)

PERSONALITY: Frohike typically represents someone even more extreme than Mulder in his belief in conspiracies, a fringe personality who has taken the agent's convictions to the
far edges and makes him look positively sane and staid by comparison.

STATUS: Frohike has, over the years, proven a helpful friend to Mulder and, well, maybe "more than a friend" to Scully ... or at least that's the way he'd  like it to be.

HOW'D HE BECOME A LGM: Frohike became a member of the Lone Gunmen when he met John Byers, who asked him to help him investigate a conspiracy brought to his attention by a woman named Suzanne Modeski.

BEFORE A LGM: A former cable TV salesman(something like that)

TOM BRAIDWOOD

BACKGROUND: Theatrical actor before he began working in TV production on such series as 21 Jump Street. The Vancouver native also serves as assistant director on X-Files.
INSPIRATION FOR FROHIKE: Braidwood asked writers Glen Morgan and James Wong, "Is Frohike just a foil or an intelligent foil? Is he a dirty old man or more than that?" Mostly he focused on Frohike's first impression of Scully: "'She's hot.' It encapsulated the whole character."
HOW HE'S LIKE FROHIKE: "I've got a good sense of humor."
HOW HE'S NOT: "I like pretty and intelligent women, but I have enormous respect for them, whereas Frohike just lusts after them. His mouth is bigger than his mind."
STARTLING REVELATIONS: Enjoys gardening.
FAVORITE EPISODES: "Död Kalm","Duane Barry."
STATUS: Married
CHILDREN: 2 daughters
IN HIS FREE TIME: he writes scripts and watches videos
IS THE TRUTH OUT THERE?: "Something's out there. Whether we've met it or not, I don't know."
WHAT HE'D LIKE FOR FROHIKE: "It would be great to have the Lone Gunmen in the field helping  Mulder, then bungle it." (In fact, this will happen in an upcoming episode.)
