Two monks who came out of a lecture by their master went on a hot debate regarding what they heard during the lecture. Each of them insisted that his understanding was the correct one. To settle the dispute, they went to see the master for a judgment.
After hearing the argument put forth by the first monk, the master said, "You are correct!" The monk was overjoyed. Casting a winner's glance at his friend, he left the room.
The second monk was upset and started to pour out what he thought to the master. After he finished, the master looked at him and said, "You are correct, too." Hearing this, the second monk brightened up and went away.
A third monk who was also in the room was greatly puzzled by what he saw. He said to the master, "I am confused, master! Their positions regarding the issue are completely opposite. They can't be both right! How could you say that they are both correct?"
The master smiled as he looked into the eyes of this third monk, "You are also correct!"
Dreams are the beginning of all plans, and actions. One gains the ability to set goals through dreams, and the honing of the Imagination to properly envision the completion. Only with a dash of the fantastic can one conceive something with continuity, and a future.
We all exist as the "center" of our own universe. From your point of view, you are the prime reality. However, while you might be the "center" of your universe, you are not the "center" of The Universe. All of our realities overlap. Therefore, while in your universe, you can walk on water, in everyone else's universe you sink like a stone. The result of you sinking like a stone is created by the inertia of their belief. Belief and Will form bridges between individual universes, but dreams and desire are the power source.
As the artist draws or paints, so the Creator works on his canvas the Universe. There was a reason Egyptian gods were depicted as various craftsmen wearing aprons, and had different arts attributed to them. The act of Creation is the most sacred of powers. To give any Idea or Concept any manifestation or form is to reenact the First Time and to emulate the Divine. To 'create' is the medium of the human power of imagination.
It is in our emotions and our intuitions that we experience being. We should be grateful for each opportunity to exalt the best of being human. Without our imaginations we are mere machines. For in truth, it is our intangible capacities that allow us to accomplish anything of value.
This gift to man is the power to unlock abstract ideas because we can see them in our head, and the ability to motivate because we can hope. However, it greatest use is in discernment. The most valued things are the least needed for sustenance. Gold, honors, accolades, philosophy, status, etc are all worthless in themselves but are valued by the perception of their value.
