![]() We here at the Kentucky Paper has Learned there Is a Virus that is effecting the Newsgroups we all use. I will Now Let you read a part from Net4Tv Article. WebTV users have told Net4TV that the "e-mail signature hack," previously reported in Net4TV Voice, is being used in combination with a WebTV-designed newsgroup posting code. The combination of codes creates a virus that alters users' e-mail signatures to insert the code, and posts messages to newsgroups without the user's knowledge. When other users view the postings, the codes are copied into their e-mail signatures and the virus replicates. The virus takes advantage of existing commands built into the WebTV software to perform a combination of tasks WebTV had not anticipated. It functions much like a computer macro virus called Melissa, which caused e-mail problems for large companies and individual computer users. The Melissa virus used macros built into Microsoft Outlook, a Windows e-mail client. This virus uses the newsgroups for propagation; WebTV repeatedly has patched a similar code in e-mail to try to end its malicious use.
1.Name: Rosemary 2.Birthdate:. June 18 3.Where are you from? Hindman, Kentucky (that is in Knott County which is a county even though it is Knott County! LOL) 4.Where do you live now? Lexington, Kentucky since 1960. 5.Are you married or Single? Very happily married to Delmar. He used to be a big football star at UK... but I was back in Hindman on the family farm making mud pies and feeding them to my brother when he played football for Bear Bryant and Blanton Collier. 6.Do you have any Children? Three wonderful grown children and three just as wonderful step children. 7.How about Grandchildren? This is a biggie! I have five and Delmar has seven. Cheaper by the dozen we think! 8.Are you close to your family? We are a very close knit clan! I am still very close to my Daddy who is 87. My brother and his family, too. And my sister as well. We lost a sister three years ago and I think I will never get over missing her. 9.Describe yourself in under 20 words. I try to be a good wife, mother, sister and daughter. And, I know how important good friendships are to have in your life. Did you say I had to stop with 20 words? 10.When you think about all of your achievments, what are you most proud of? My children and grandchildren. 11.Any regrets? Just one. I wish my mother had lived to see my sweet grandbabies. 12.What would you like to say about yourself that might surprise some of your newsgroup friends, that they didn't know about you already? I once drove an eighteen wheeler. It was only for about two blocks though. It was fun. I have always been a bit of a risk taker. 13.Do you have any pets? I only have one pet. A big silver-backed gorilla. I married him almost eleven years ago. 14.How long have you been on webtv? I got my webtv just a few weeks before the Kentucky Newsgroup started up! 15.How did you come to the Kentucky Newsgroup? Well, the good folks at webtv told me about it just starting. I had written to ask them if there was some kind of forum within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. 16.How would you say your experience on the web has been so far? It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I love it to pieces! 17.If you could pass on a word of wisdom to others ,what would that be? Two things! First, always give a smile to people you meet because it may be the only smile they get all day. And secondly, always wear clean underwear because my Mommy said to! LOL 18.Who in the Kentucky Newsgroup would you most like to meet? Hard question! I guess it would be Bruce. He seems like such a gentle and kind person and he loves his parents very much. Of the gals, I would like to meet you, Cindy and I would like to meet Angel. Why? Because you two girls are such good people and you work so hard to keep us all together. Our day will come! 19.If a fairy godmother appeared to you and gave you three wishes, what would you wish for? Well, I would wish for a cure for Cancer to be finally developed. And, I would wish for peace and harmony in this world. For me? I have everything I could ever need. Maybe more good friends! 20.This is the question you can ask and answer yourself. Why can't we have more Veteran's Homes for those who gave of themselves so completely when we needed someone to take our part in Wars? I think it is Political. Some of the funds used for building useless things and that are used for grants for people to study really weird things could be used to help our Veterans with medicines and housing so that they would really know we appreciate all of the sacrifices they made for us and for our country. Some of them sleep on the streets now. Some of them die on the streets now. Our Miss America has the right idea. She may one day be our first lady of Kentucky. I am proud of her for speaking up for Veterans Rights! Thank you, Cindy for a marvelous interview. God Bless! Rosie Editor: Angel
