FLOODING

Flooding is the action of recalling past events. Everyone does this and it reinforces certain beliefs. Many times we use this natural playback reel to review the bad stuff over and over. This only serves to reinforce the negative points and the belief that the negative points are the truth; the good things are the exceptions to that truth.
This principle of flooding can be used to our benefit if it is used correctly. People say that they can not let go of the past, that they keep playing it over and over. If that were true, then they would not be able to let go of the good things as well. This rarely happens, though, because dwelling on the bad things comes so easy and serves some purpose, even if it is ultimately destructive to ourselves or our relationships. However, what if we "fool" ourselves and hijack those thought processes. Any time we feel those bad thoughts replaying in slow motion, replace them with good memories. Do this for long enough and it becomes a habit and the good thoughts are the ones being reinforced. Apparently we can choose our moods and if we are in a bad one, it is because it serves one of our immediate needs. Its the whole cheesy idea of positive self affirmation. "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like me," thank you very much SNL.
So, my intention behind this page is to give us a quick resource of positive flooding, with regards to our relationship, that can be used whenever we might need or want it. It is something I look forward to sharing with you. Please add any stories you want to share here. They don't have to be big, as you will see most of mine aren't, just little stories that make you smile or you think might make me smile. I want this to be a place where you can go just to remember some of the good times. So, won't you please help me Flood?

You were getting ready to go to the store and asked me for my wallet. It was in my front pocket and, to play around I made you reach in and grab it.
B- "You're so starved for me to touch you that this excites you!"
J- "Yea, tonight I'll be masterbating thinking, 'oh oh yea, she's touching my wallet, oh!'
A few minutes later you asked for the keys. They were in my other front pocket. Unfortunitely, I forgot about taking advantage of the situation before I handed them to you.
J- "You got off easy."
You gave me a hug and said I was funny. We shared a playful love.

So Follies 2010 definitely deserves some bandwidth on the flooding page! We were looking forward to having a nice dinner and watching some entertainment and funny videos made by my fellow students. We didn't really have anything nice to wear, so we wore nice tops and jeans. We were dressed up, moreso than we normally would be to go out. I wore my green button down shirt and nice jeans. You wore an awesome bluish blouse with ruffles, nice jeans, and black boots. You looked very nice. We thought we might be a little under dress; I knew there was a possibility that some people might wear dress slacks and shirt, or maybe a dress, but we looked good too. Well, we get there and everyone is wearing suits and evening gowns. We weren't a little underdressed, we were naked next to these guys. So luckily you agreed to leave rather than stay and be miserable the whole time. We decided to go eat sushi and then see Alice in Wonderland in 3D. We had a good evening eventhough you felt bad for leaving the event and I felt bad for putting you in that situation. It was an awesome opportunity for us to overcome the circumstance of the situation and grow closer. I think we did that. We had fun playing air hockey, you even laughed a few times:) and we had a good evening overall. It definitely goes in the books as a memorable positive event in our relationship. I wouldn't change anything about that night.

The first night we hooked up. We were at the bar across from the Del Ghetto and we may have gotten a little tipsy. On the way back across the street I pretended like I was "helping" you and held your hand. As I had hoped we continued holding hands the rest of the way. I was wondering if you were going to ask me to your room (Todd was in mine). You didn't, but you didn't let go of my hand either, so I followed you in. We were laying on the bed talking, getting closer and closer. Eventually, you leaned in and kissed me. There seems to be a little dispute about this point, but I remember clearly; You kissed Me:) I had been hanging out with you for a few days before this because I liked you and, that night, had hoped to make out with you. We did and we messed around for quite a while. I even went down on you that night. The next day would have normally been awkward, but I "played it cool" and we were both pretty comfortable. So I proposed. Or well, that might have been a little while later.

Our first date. We went to a hibachi bar to watch the samurai chef cook our food at our table. I had never been and was excited. I was also a sushi virgin; I wasn't apposed to it, I just had never had the opportunity, and you were excited about breaking my cherry; introducing me to it. You looked amazing. You had your hair up and I could see the back of your neck. I can't remember exactly what you were wearing, but I definitely remember your boots. The heels made you look tall and, I have to say, I very much enjoyed the shape they gave you. You look great in heels. The show was pretty good for my first time. I specifically remember how the one guy at our table ruined the chefs onion volcano trick, the prick. It was a great first date and an awesome memory from our early life together.

River Romance holds a special place in my memories. It was such a nice get away and romantic weekend. We stayed in our room the whole weekend, naked, playing games, grilling our meals, having sex, taking bubble baths, burning a hundred candles, and just enjoying each other. It really was an amazing time and is a great memory.

So we were still flight attendants and we wanted to hop a flight that Dave was working. We go on and we're sitting in the back and of course we have to mess with him while he is doing his announcements. So we're making faces, etc, and he is doing good ignoring us for the most part. Until, that is, you flash him! He had this look like, a deer just jumped out in front of him. And of course everyone turned around to see what happened. I think the girls were properly stowed in the upright position by that time though. It wasn't professional, I'm sure everyone thought he was pretty immature for "playing with his friends" while he was supposed to be working, but it was hilarious! I was surprised you did it, but it was exciting!

I was remembering my birthday the year we were in Wichita Falls. We had a party and invited all the guys from my class. It was nice to have pseudo-friends; friends that didn't really take a lot of time or energy, but that were available for get-togethers and parties. I had a lot of fun at that party. We had just finished our apartment and were pretty proud of it, especially when Perry suggested we do their apartment. We had fun playing games and talking smack about the Air Force. You and I even disappeared into the bedroom for a few minutes, for a quick happy birthday love session (which Candice totally noticed, and was probably jealous about that too because I doubt they had that kind of passion.) It was a good time. Thanks for throwing me a party.

The trip to Puerto Vallarta was pretty special. First of all, the fact that we flew there in first class, for free was pretty amazing. We got this tiny hotel away from the touristy city center which, although unintentional, was a great choice. It was quiet and relaxing at the hotel, but the "action" was easy to reach via a short bus ride. There were things to do where we stayed as well. I think you enjoyed the large steed between your legs. Then we left the hotel and took a horseback ride to see the Predator. It was awesome, and a little scary at times with the semi-trained horses. But that was definitely the first time I've went horseback riding through the jungle. We also went snorkeling in some cove that we paid some kid to take us to. I'll also never forget going out to eat and getting a nice expensive plate of half cooked, pink in the middle lobster tail. Priceless. It was a very special trip that I enjoy remembering.
