Perry County. State Route A. Contry Road 460.
This 32 acre area offers a scenic view of the 60 feet Tower Rock, and of the waters of the Mississippi River. A hiking trail leads to access to the Mississippi riverfront and an overlook of the bluffs above. A landing was built atop the rocky island in 1968, local indians thought the rock to be inhabitated by a "Manitou". In 1803, the island was explored by Captain Lewis.

In Perry County.



In Mississippi County. HWY 102, East Prairie.
1,000 acre preserve as a monument to the original forested wilderness the "swampeast" of the bootheal. Canopy trees rise to 120 feet.

In New Madrid County.

Stoddard County. HWY ZZ. SW of Dexter. 573-624-5821. Cypress swamp and River slough provide unique habitat for all water and outdoor activities. 1.5 mile trail.

In Dunklin County.
