Research Project

All Along The Watchtower is a specially designed web site for the journalist or researcher working in the field of customs and excise.

Customs and excise is an area where policy effects much larger news agenda items such as asylum seekers, drugs and the continuing "war on terrorism".

This site has been designed with these three areas in mind and provides a source of research for those trying to link up legislation to new developments within different spheres.

Each page also contains useful links to very effective news archive searches such as the BBC. Work by fellow journalists is also signposted, along with academic research into the overall question of border control.
