Cobbler Wobbegong
Scientifically:
Sutorectus tentaculatus.
What To Look For:
A relatively slim, patterned wobbegong with
characteristic rows of warty growths over the head and
down the body. It is pale brown with dark brown
saddles and blotches. The 2 large dorsal fins are
placed towards the rear of the body, but little else
is known of its biology.
Size:
Up to 1 m. (but unconfirmed reports of 3 m.)
Distribution:
Southern and Western Australia.
Food:
Bottom-living invertebrates and fish.
Breeding:
Live-bearer. Numbers not known.
Danger To Humans:
Likely to bite if provoked.
