Old Commercials From 1989! [Page 3]

I found these on an old tape my Art History teacher, Mrs. Warren let me borrow because there was an ode Van Gough movie called "Lust For Life" on it. Well, I never got the movie, but I did make these screen caps of the old commercials she had!  I have some commentary on some of the ads too. (put your mouse over the images too)

I think this is my favorite ad on the tape. It's a Cinnamon Toast Crunch ad, and it has the two other bakers in the ad. I remember in the mid 1990's they dropped them, and it was just Wendell the baker (I think he was the short, stocky one) I always liked the tall one with the long face. I think I had his image on a sweat band bracelet I got in a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch around the time this aired:

Mom wakes up at 5 a.m. in the morning to read cereal box...well that's what it looks like! Why did we think that huge glasses were cool back then? Even I spoited the huge glasses back then,.

The job you didn't know John Kerry had

Leggs Sheer Energy Pantyhose. Remember pantyhose eggs? My mom always gave them to me when I was a little kid.

An ad for an early version of Imodium A-D. I didn't even know there was a liquid version of this stuff. I bet it tasted bad, thus the reason why I've never seen it on the shelf.

Man getting aroused over Betty Crocker angel food cake

Flintstone's vitamins before Betty Rubble. In this ad you see the girl who has sang the line "and grrwooing" at the end of every vitamin ad. We've all had that little girls piercing voice stuck in our head for years, and now we know whose fault it is.

Caps I couldn't do commentary on (assorted ones at the bottom of every page:
