Background Colors
Sometimes, white backgrounds can get a little tiresome but you can change your background color to any of the colors just like you used for fonts. The HTML is a little different though. Where the x's are replace that with the color of your choice.

For example:

<bgcolor=#xxxxxx>

Background Images
Want to spice up your background with a lovely picture? You can do that too by using a background image you have found somewhere on the internet. You can also make your own but bear in mind that your graphics should be saved as either a .jpg or a .gif file. Jpg files are better for photographs, while gif files are better for others image types.

Some make the mistake of uploading images directly from their C:\ drive and while they can see it, everybody else will only see a broken image similar to this this . That is because that image is only on your computer. Anytime you want to display an image anywhere in the Internet, you must have it hosted somewhere on the Internet. If you are going to use your own image, you need to upload your pic to an image hosting website... one that allows off-site image hosting. Try Liquid2k, AsianAvenue, VillagePhotos, Envy.nu. Some hosts won't let images uploaded to be seen outside of their domain, like in your Neopets shop, so don't bother with Geocities or Angelfire.

Once you have your image up on the web you can to showoff your background in your shop. You will need to change the www.nothingbutneopets.com/usuki.gif shown here to your background URL.

For example:

<body background="http://www.boomspeed.com/skatra/bloodbg.gif">

This is what your whole page background will look like.
