England and Wales, 2006

Part 9

See we told you so! These pics don't do it justice.

York has to be the most beautiful city we visited in all of the UK.

We took a drive out of Leeds to the Yorkshire Dales and stopped at Bolton Abbey.
This bit is a ruin (like Duh!) but the section to the left, and mostly out of
view, is still a fully functioning church.

Lovely place.

Dr. Dork at his fantasised summer mansion next to Bolton Abbey.

We were just picking roads at random across the Yorkshire Dales, and we came off the moors
and landed in Hawes, the home of Wensleydale Cheese. We had no idea that of all the places
we would visit that we would land in Wallace and Gromit country. We had to take these two pics
for Mark's sister who is a huge Wallace and Gromit fan. We bought a lot of cheese too and ate it
on the plane ride back to Melbourne. It was a magical trip. We will be back, especially to Wales.

Wensleydale, please, says Calvin, and he takes you to the homepage.
