England and Wales, 2006

Part 3

Chez Professor Joan Duda-Duda-Day in Kings Norton, Birmingham.
Brekkie with Joan, the DK, and the Beastie Boy. Her place is fabulous!

The Duda Bed and Breakfast.

Now we are in Wales with the fabulosa Rachel (long-suffering wife of David) with
the DK Doctor and the flannelly impaired Dr. Dork. We are in Hay-on-Wye.
It's the bookstore Mecca of the whole UK. Mark got a first edition Freud there.

The DK and the booksellers.

This is where Mark got his Freud. The bookseller is holding a first edition Wilhelm Wundt (1871).
Now that may not mean much to most people, but Wundt is the father of experimental psychology.

The castle at Hay-on-Wye. It's a bookstore too.

Kiwis-in-Arms (literally--now there's a good word for this town).

These next two pics are the fabulous central Wales coast.

Where David and Rachel took us for one (of many) payback meals for Mark supervising his dissertation.
We had a fabulous dinner here. Who said you can't get good food in the U.K.?

View outside the restaurant in Aberaeron, Wales.

The crew at the payback dinner. Fantastic food and wonderful company.

This is a pic for Mark's sister Sally. We went shopping and bought Wensleydale cheese
made famous by Wallace and Gromit. See the very last pics of the whole trip for a surprise.

Wales countryside where they feed the endangered red kites (birds). We saw about 9 of them.

Borth, north of Aberystwyth (where David and Rachel live).

The colourful homes of the Welsh Riviera, Borth.

Coastal Dude in Borth.

Of all the pics Mark took on this trip, he is most proud of this one from Borth.

Borth Boy, Calvin, takes you home.
