England and Wales, 2006

Part 4

These people look way too happy. Jeff's good friends from Minnesota,
Carol and Karl,  were in Wales while we were there.
That nouveau voyageur international, the DK made friends fast.

The mean streets of Aberystwyth.

The harbour at Aberystwyth. "Aber" means "mouth."
So the city is " the mouth of (the river) Ystwyth."

It's a lovely town affectionately known as "the arse end of nowhere."

The DK at the "beach" in Aber, and we use that term "the beach" in a very broad sense.

More mean streets of Aber.

Carol and Karl on our way to Cardiff. our road took us from farmlands up onto some moors.

View 180 degrees from where Jeff took the above picture.

Our first meal in Cardiff, Carol is seriously engaged and
almost "transported" by the menu. Mark just looks apprehensive.

Best mates, Jeff and Karl

Off to the National Museum of Wales, several nice impressionist pieces there.

David and Rachel and the DK came down the next day to Cardiff.
We're all waiting for our Welsh gay pub meal.

Aberystwythian, Calvin, takes you to the home page.
