Story.
Sakura
is Ryu's #1 fan, impressed by his performance in
the Street Fighter 1 tournament. She learns to mimic his moves and quickly
picks up on his style. Eagerly, she seeks out Ryu so she can meet him in
person, as well as have a match with him. She finally reaches Ryu and (albeit
with Ryu taking a dive) manages to defeat him. She asks him if he could
train her, but Ryu replies that he is still training himself. Ryu hands
her a picture of himself and makes his exit. Realising that Ryu went easy
on her, she begins to wonder what he meant when he said that he was still
training. Back at school, while looking at the picture, her friend Kei
asks her who the person in the picture is. She replies that it might be
her sensei. Yet instead of elaborating on what she meant, she rushes off
to school- saying they'll be late if they don't hurry (Street Fighter
Alpha 2.)
Still fascinated
by street fighting and Ryu, she sets out on a journey to find Ryu and ask
him the questions he couldn't answer before. Meeting up with Ken,
they both found Ryu brainwashed by Bison's mind
control. With Ken, she kept Bison at bay while Sagat
fought with Ryu. Overcoming his brainwashing, Ryu apologises for losing
his mind to Bison's will, and says to Sakura that he isn't ready yet for
another match because the way Bison controlled him proves that he still
has weaknesses to overcome. Both he and Sakura vow to train harder and
eagerly look forward to the day they can have a real battle (Street
Fighter Alpha 3.)
