Ability Mana Description Level Aquired Syntax
Weave 10 Weave is only useful when a thief is fighting in the same room as someone else. This commands greatly lessens the chance that a monster attempt to hit you, making the others in the room with you seem like easier targets. Of course this weaving is only temporary, and it also reduces the chance you have to hit. 5 weave
Evade 15 Evade lets you concentrate on avoiding enemy attacks. While using this skill, you will have a slightly lessened chance to hit, but your opponents will experience significant difficulty in striking you. This skill cannot be used in conjunction with weave. 5 evade
Steal variable A thief steals. This ability allows you to steal silver and items from players and monsters. At level 5 a thief can steal only silver, at level 10 the thief can steal items from the target, and at level 15 the thief has a small chance to steal small worn items from target. If the thief fails there is a possiblity the target will be notified. 5 steal [silver/item] from [target]
Peek 5 This ability allows the thief to see the total inventory of the target. At level 10 the thief gains the ability to judge the size of armours. Failure in this will inform the player in question of your attempt. 5 peek [target]
Appraise 10 Thieves can appraise an item, although as in life, the value of something is very relative. Smelting something does not give you money based on the items value, only its weight and the amount of money the guild is paying out. The thief may, depending on his skill level and the particular item, gain additional information about an object. 5 appraise [item]
Ambush variable de 5 ambush [part of] [target]
Throw 0 (uaimed)

20 (aimed poison throw)
Thieves are skilled at throwing objects at targets. At level 5, a thief can throw objects at targets. The thief will have a better chance of success than a non-thief character. In addition, the thief does not have to have a free hand available to throw items. Thieves gain the ability to target specific limbs as they increase in level. At level 7, the thief may target any limb except the head or arms. The skill to target the arms is gained at level 11. A thief of level 15 or higher may choose to throw items at the head. Thieves will generally find knives and one-handed axes to be the most suitable items for accurate throwing, while throwing corpses will generally be more difficult. Heavy items may prove impossible to aim at individual limbs of an opponent. The damage of thrown items is determined by the thief's strength, the weight of the item, and the class of weapon thrown (for weapons). Thieves may also throw vials of poison at their opponents. It requires skill to safely handle an open vial of poison, so a thief must be level 9 before he can throw spiderbite poison. At level 13, the thief may throw viperfang vials, and at level 17 he is able to throw deathwish poison at his victims. 5 throw [item] at [part of] [target]
Palm 10 A thief can get small objects from their environment without notifying the room. 7 palm [item]
Place 10 A thief can place small objects from their inventory into the room they are in without notifying the room. 7 place [item]
Apply Posion 20 This ability allows the thief to apply poison to a bladed or piercing weapon. The various poisons can be purchased from a poison seller in a city not far from Vesla. At level 9 a thief gains the ability to use spiderbite poison, at level 13 the thief may use viperfang poison, and at level 17 the thief may use deathwish poison. 9 apply [posion type] onto [weapon name]
Taint 10 This ability allows the thief to taint a drink with deadly poison. The various poisons can be purchased from a poison seller in a city not far from Vesla. At level 9 a thief gains the ability to use spiderbite poison, at level 13 the thief may use viperfang poison, and at level 17 the thief may use deathwish poison. Each vial is good for five drinks. 9 taint [drink] with [posion type]
Lurk 5[initial] + 3[when moving] This ability will allow higher level thieves not to be totally invisible, but to hide in a room, or enter and leave rooms without a message. Quite useful for that sneak attack. To check the status of a lurk, just type the command without an argument. Lurk requires concentration to begin, and concentration to maintain when moving; there is a chance of failure based on the viewer's level. Lurk in room is gained at level 10, while full lurk is gained at level 15, which allows thieves to lurk into other rooms. 10 lurk [on/off]
Slip 10 This ability allows a thief to quietly place an item onto an individual or open container such as a wagon. The item must be small and there is a chance of the thief being noticed in the act, often with hostile results. 10 slip [item] onto [target]
Peer 15 This ability allows a thief to peer out of the room he is in and view the adjoining room and it's contents. 11 peer [direction]
Assail 15 A thief may use this ability to make a devious and often deadly assault against an opponent. The thief must already be in combat with the target. It is important to note that this skill is much more effective if others are attacking the target as well. 13 assail [target]
