CHILDHOOD DAYS

I remember a time when I would sit and play with my dolls.. a hat to cover my head from the sun and be playing by a lake. The fun I had... those long summer days ... friends.. my family...ice cream.. water melon... tag, hide and go seek and kick the can. Running barefoot in the grass without a worry in the world.... oh the beauty of a child.. the innocence within... the hope of a day filled with nothing but sunshine.. oh to be that way again!

This is my little granddaughter Patricia Anne, she loves the water, all of my family loves the water.. my daugther and son learned to swim as little babies and Patricia will be learning the same way.... we have always lived near water, I live out in the country with in walking distance of a lake....in all walks of life we are so lucky to have all the memories re-lived through our children and grandchildren as they go through their own childhood days!

This is my grandson Dean.... he will soon be four years old...he loves to play with sticks and feed the ducks.. here he is walking in the park on a cool autumn day... I can remember days such as these.. playing in the leaves, and finding one of the prettiest that I could to press and keep for show and tell... do you remeber those times... coming in from the cool weather to cookies and hot chocolate, hugs and the warmth of your mom's arms?

Dean loves to go and eat pizza and play at the Chuck E. Cheese , they have all kinds of fun games for kids of all ages...I can remember as a child going to the arcades, that is where we could play games at or the fair, things have changed since then but the time honored thrill of playing has not *smile*

We all remember our Grandmother and the warm smells coming from their Kitchens and the the fun we had, my grandma just celebrated her 90th birthday! This gives us a chance at a lot of long filled memories of our childhood days!

This was a prefect picture for my childhood days.. my grandson Dean is learning all about Christmas, though my son and daughter-in-law are teaching him about Christ and that it is his birthday, he has discovered Santa Clause .. I can remember the magic of christmas and listening for Santa to come..... Mom and Dad even made prints in the snow when we lived up North and when we moved to the South they put footprints in the sand *smile* when I grew up and had children of my own I did the same thing for them and now the tradition has carried on through my children to theirs...more wonderful memories for the childhood days!
