Follow the trail to uncover the story of Roman Middlewich.
The information panels on the trail reveal the history and layout of the Roman
town and show how Middlewich would have looked in Roman times.
The Trail is just over one mile long, and will take about an
hour and a quarter to complete. It is firm underfoot, but stout footwear is
advisable. Most of the trail is accessible to disabled people but where it is
not( at the Big Lock Bridge for example) an alternative route is
available. Please consider local residents by parking in the FREE car parks and
not in residential areas.
This year will see the introduction of the extension of the
trail with two new panels with illustrations by Graham Sumner.
When you have finished on the trail and worked up an appetite
why not pop into one of the many public Houses or cafes in Middlewich where you will find
good food and hospitality at very good prices.

Ann Winterton MP takes the Trail with some
