Make Someone's Simple Wish Come True!

Sadly, having regular wholesome meals and good health is only a dream for many people.

The Legacy Health Foundation would like to thank you in advance for your desire to support and expand our mission through tax-deductible donations that will help us to combat hunger in a new way -- providing not just any food to the needy, but wholesome, chemical-free, non-toxic organic and natural foods and products that have health-promoting and healing qualities.

Since individuals become weakened, and often diseased and dysfunctional, when toxins are not avoided and the proper nutrition necessary to maintain a state of good health is not accessible, our ultimate goal when providing nutritional information and healthy products is the significant improvement of eating habits, living habits, and overall health to a level that will enable the individual to have the strength, confidence, and state of mind and health to be able to independently break the chain of dependence and take more positive and proactive measures in their health and nutrition choices, and in their life.

Of course, your generous cash donations and bequests are always welcome.  But we also are equally happy to receive material donations and personal gifts of any of the following critical items for distribution and to sustain our operation.  Our funding is very limited and our "Wish List" continues to grow.  We have recommended potential sources, whom we have no affiliation with, for some of these items for your ease in locating them, but gladly accept any organic or natural foods and products related to our mission from an appropriate source that can be delivered without spoilage or damage to the products.  In order for us to provide you with a receipt for your donation, please ensure that the shipment includes an itemized list of the donated products, prices, and your complete name and address where we can mail your receipt.  A receipt is automatically generated when paying online with a credit card or check through PayPal.

Wish List

Food Products:

  • Whole grains and dry beans.  Please do not send white breads, white rice, white pasta, "enriched" grain products, or semolina -- these are not whole grain even if the package says that part of the ingredients are.  Also, please do not send products that contain soy.  Please do send unopened organic whole-grain breads, pastas, and cereals such as spelt, kamut, quinoa, oat, rice, corn, rye, gluten-free, and sprouted grains;  wild rice and brown rice; oatmeal; lentils and other dry beans; organic granola bars, Kashi; organic plain popcorn, and unpearled barley (Like bulk Goya or organic unpearled barley).  Please only send grains labeled organic or, if not possible, the only ingredient should be the grain.
  • Ready-to-eat organic meals. Complete organic packaged meals, jarred and boxed organic baby foods, soups, chilis, stews, and kits that do not require microwave cooking.  Please avoid items that contain organic white flour, organic semolina, or soy products.
  • Organic or natural fruits, nuts, and vegetables.  Should be organic frozen or fresh, and/or grown naturally without the use of chemicals.  In great demand are green leafy vegetables and root vegetables such as red potatoes, onions, and raw garlic.  Organic fruit jellies, nuts, nutrition bars, and nut butters are popular also.
  • Dairy products.  Eggs from "naturally raised" cage-free chickens, organic yogurt, sour cream, hard cheeses and cottage cheese, real unsalted butter, low-fat or regular non-homogenized white milk (with the cream intact such as produced by Hartzler's, which is available at The Oberlin Market 440-774-8401), and organic ice cream (preferably only sweetened with fruit and/or honey -- and not sugar, even organic sugar, as we try to limit sugar intake).
  • "Naturally raised" meats.  Unopened organic or "naturally raised" beef, cage-free chicken, pork, bacon, or other meats without hormones, steroids, antibiotics or other chemicals.  These would either need to be specially shipped frozen or dropped off frozen in person.  One of our favorite suppliers is Peaceful Pastures, but there are many other suppliers available online.
  • Beverages.  Organic 100% fruit or vegetable juices (preferably not from concentrate), organic coffee and coffee substitutes (such as herbal teeccino), herbal teas, low-fat or regular nonhomogenized white milk (with the cream intact such as produced by Hartzler's, which is available at The Oberlin Market 440-774-8401), brown rice beverages, herbal root beer, organic buttermilk, and distilled water.  Please do not send soy beverages due to constituents in unfermented soy.
  • Baking products.  Organic whole-grain flours (no white flours), brown rice syrup, raw honey, carob chips, organic semi-sweet chocolate chips, organic natural vanilla and other natural flavorings, organic heavy whipping cream, organic nuts, organic raisins, organic pudding, organic cookies, stevia natural sweetener, organic cane sugar, and organic complete desserts.
  • Organic cooking herbs, condiments, and seasonings of all varieties. Should be organic and non-irradiated.  In high demand are parsley, oregano, thyme, chives, rosemary, fennel, sage, sun-dried organic sea salt, organic ketchup and mayonnaise, olives, cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, nut oils, and safflower oil.
  • No soy products.  Please do not send soy products, such as soybeans, soy milk, or other products containing soy products, due to the constituents in unfermented soy, except for tempeh and miso.

Personal Products:.

  • Health, Beauty, and Personal Hygiene.  Organic and natural hand soaps, liquid soaps, tooth paste, aluminum-free deodorants, natural tooth brushes, bandages, natural tampons and menstrual pads, organic hemp bath and personal products, homeopathic or herbal cough syrup, cold formula, headache formula, and other natural medications, aromatherapy air fresheners and candles, bath and essential oils, and care packages.
  • Baby and Children's Products.  Chemical-free diapers, organic baby formula, organic baby cereals (preferably brown rice or oatmeal), organic baby foods, diaper rash ointment, chemical-free natural baby blankets, sleeping bags, warm and light clothing (including socks, T-shirts, shoes, boots, coats, scarves, gloves, and hats), baby wipes, lotions, powders, baby shampoo, chemical-free soap, sheets and pillows, bibs, car seats and carriers, strollers, and educational and environmentally healthy age-appropriate toys for infants, toddlers, and older children.  School supplies are also greatly appreciated before the start of the school year.
  • Multi-vitamins.  High-potency health-store variety adult multi-vitamins and children's multi-vitamins are in great demand.  Please make sure that the bottle says that the vitamins do not contain any processed sugar, yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, or unnatural ingredients.
  • Home health monitoring test kits

Legacy Health Foundation Facility Administration and Unmet Needs:.

  • Office supplies. Postage, manilla and hanging file folders, copy paper, post-it notes.
  • Office equipment.  Color copier with color ink refills.
  • Gift certificates.  Gift certificates for organic and natural online providers save us time and help fill in gaps by allowing us the flexibility to choose products we have identified as the most needed at the time of redemption.
  • Facility decor, maintenance, and positive client environment.  Non-toxic interior paint, books on organic, naturopathic, homeopathic, holistic, and herbal education, health, lifestyles, eating, and cooking.
