Went to a birthday party and played with my nephew, and I was actually surprised. If it had been "my" other child I wouldn't have been surprised, but my nephew is usually quite shy around me. I don't see him that often either, so that probably doesn't help... But today he wanted to play with me...a lot...and even sit on my lap. He still can't pronounce my name though :)

I finally finished a book called "The Lovely Bone" by Alice Sebold. It's supposed to be a bestseller here and that's why I got it for a friend of mine. Everyone recommended it to me. It's about a fourteen year old girl who is raped and killed, and then tells the story from heaven. I thought that the first two hundred pages went by soo slooowly, the last hundred had some potential though... even though it didn't really make it all the way...

Today was the dreaded day when I had to go to the gym, when I finally got there and got started it wasn't as bad as expected. I wasn't that much weaker...
Then off to lunch, I think I ate for three, at least...
Then I decided to try on some dresses, or about twenty five to be exact. I had fun, I don't think my friend enjoyed it as much though :) Out of twenty five dresses I found ONE that I liked. It's all flowery and stuff. It'd be great for Midsummer's eve. I didn't buy it though, I just settled for a green top on sale instead...like a good girl :)
Then off to see another friend for coffee. We were going to play outside, but it rained so we decided on coffee instead. It was good to see her, it'd been a while...

I was sitting on the bus today and looked out the window, just to see a new "generation" of drunks to be. They've come so far that they hang out with the crowd behind the liquor store, but still new enough to look "normal", like anyone else i.e no torn, dirty clothes or things like that... But they're still more real than the friend I mentioned before. Even though you can't say that he's just a social drinker any more. He's just a sweet guy gone wrong. Or at least that's what I'd like to think...

While he was still hanging out with me and my friend he seemed to be okey, but since we've stopped hanging out it's gone completely overboard. I know we can't be there to babysit him all of his life, but still, you do feel a bit guilty. Like there's something more you should have done...

I went into the big "city" to get my mp3-player back. When I finally got there after over two hours on the bus, they told me that they didn't find the problem. Somehow I managed to talk them into giving me a new player instead, so that was good.
Then went to have a bit to eat, me and a friend of mine, his gf and his brother. Lately I've ended up spending more time with his gf than with him, which I don't mind since she's a great girl, but still, it's kind of funny :) We went and had a look at some shoes, and then off to a secondhand store where I got some nice Barry Manilow vinyls.
Finally, back to their place where we played a game called Buzz or something like that, somehow she managed to beat me every frickin' time. Next time...hehehehe...

This is the third week without proper food. It's starting to get to you, but at least you'll loose weight ;)
I don't think I've ever had this small an income. What annoys me the most is that I can't afford to have friends any longer. Everytime you're supposed to meet you go for coffee, a drink, shopping or something else that costs money. And even getting to where they are costs money.
I'm so fed up with myself right now, always having to be the downer, "No, I can't. I don't have any money" and feeling like I'm begging my friends for money just by saying that...Sigh...

I was watching that Morgan Spurlock-show "30 days", and it was about them, he and his girlfriend, living on minimum wage for a month. It didn't look that hard though. In a day they both had jobs, and a place to live (in New York). Maybe I should move there, here I have neither...*sigh* If it wasn't for the fact that they had to pay about 1000$ for a hospital visit and some band-aid, I would!

I read a book by Helen Fielding, "Olivia Joules...", which is a bit like the Janet Evanovich-books. To me it's a more different detective story than Fadeout anyway. Maybe I should write about that instead, the new detective novel, for my stupid essay. I dunno know. What do you think?
