Get over it!!
Mood:  quizzical
Topic: Politics
Can some one please tell me why in the hell there are still ads on websites about the dang election?! It's over...Bush won, if you don't like it, move!

All these celebrities whine and complain about Bush and the Republicans...here's a note from mainstream America..."SHUT UP ALREADY!"

In case you didn't see the county-by-county map, check the previous Political post. America isn't liberal...never has been, hopefully it never will be! If you live here and feel the urge to change the US into a liberal country, just move somewhere where all the hard work has been done for you. You want government sponsored and run health care, move to Canada or Europe and rot while waiting to get an appointment. You don't like the rich? Tough crap, there are always gonna be people with more than you...either work harder to become one of them or shut up about it!

Ok, well I do feel a little better now. Thanks.

UF vs FSU
Mood:  energetic
Topic: Sports
That was a great game...this town will be so much more fun now that they lost to the Gators!! An unranked Gators team no less!!

And then today the Bucs finally put a full game together and stomped the 49ers. That was a fun game to watch too, although the game was never really in question.

More group fun...
Mood:  irritated
Topic: Grad School
Ok, so anyone that has been reading this knows that I've been having oh so much fun this semester with my group projects.

Well...it gets even better. My new group has a Brain Dead member, let's just call him BD. First, he apparently doesn't understand that when we say that we need his part in order to build a protoype for the presentation, that it actually means that we can't build the prototype until we get his part!! He was supposed to send us his part by last Friday...come Saturday, he still had not sent it, and was not answering his phones. We finally got something from him late Sunday. So Monday night I met the other half-a-brain of my group, and we put together the prototype.

Then I found out on Monday that BD turned in a copy of our deliverable without ever looking at it. He apparently missed the notes that we had been making to each other on it...notes that obviously should have been deleted before turning it over to the professor for a grade.

Thank God that this semester is almost over and I'll be rid of this group...er class! The rest of the group isn't bad really, in fact the girl in this group is paired with me in my other class for our group project...and we get along well...she is a hard worker and does a decent job.

Crunch Time
Mood:  rushed
Topic: Grad School
Well, my first semester of grad school is almost over...and that means that my projects are all coming due.

So...it is very possible that I will not be making many posts in the near future..."like you normally post regularly" I'm sure you're thinking.

Halloween costume contest
Mood:  silly
Topic: Work
We had a little costume contest at work...and I won third place, which came with a $30 Outback gift certificate. I think that since I had only worked there for less than a month, it was more of a popularity contest...cause some chick that dressed up as "Lint girl" won first place.

Anyway, my pic

Wow...did you see the county-by-county map for the election??

Check out this one from 2000

And then this one from 2004

And the best part is...the Dems think that they need to move even further to the left in order regain power!! It looks pretty obvious to me that the country has pretty much rejected liberal "values" and that the traditional values that this country was founded on are making a strong comeback.

We also have proved to the terrorists, and countries like Spain, that we will not be intimidated by a few wack jobs...even wack jobs with bombs!

Is Bush perfect, absolutley not...but he is 100's of times better than Kerry...or anyone else that ran for the Democratic nomination for that matter. And, when Bush says something...you KNOW that he will try to actually do it! I saw somewhere online, a story who's headline read "Bush may not be able to keep all of his promises." No crap, really?? But he will keep most of them. That is better than most politicians.

New group
Mood:  bright
Topic: Grad School
Well, it took nearly a month for the professor to decide he wanted to stick me in another group and abandon my project. He actually told me last week...I think.

So, I'm in my new group...it so far it isn't horrible. Although...and this is a scary thing...apparently, I am the grammar and English expert in the group. I started reading the first three deliverables that this group had turned in, and found myself making simple changes....like using their instead of there. You know, stuff you learn in grade school.

There is one other person in the group who has already told me that I will have to be the second half of the brain for the group...and so far I'd have to agree.

I need some hockey already!!!
Topic: Sports
I was forced to watch a replay of game 5 of the 2004 NHL Eastern Conference Finals last night during some of the early election returns. It's kinda funny, even though I knew that the Lightning won the game, I still found myself feeling nervous while I watched the game.

Damn...I need some fresh hockey soon!

It's OVER!!!
Mood:  party time!
Topic: Politics
Wow...my wife and I stayed up until around 2:15 watching the returns until we just couldn't take it anymore. Then this morning we heard that Kerry was finally going to concede...Whew! I now have at least a little bit of respect for Kerry for recognizing that he wasn't going to win, and not dragging out the whole lawyer debacle that Gore put us through last time.

I did find it rather funny when the exit polling was showing that Kerry would win...and the stock market tanked! And then this morning when it was known that Kerry was going to concede, the market shot up!! Now what does that tell you??

Yeah right, the main stream media isn't biased!
Mood:  irritated
Topic: Politics
Isn't it funny how that Farencrap 9/11 movie by fatso gets tons and tons of hype and media attention...eventhough it was full of half-truths, outright lies and pure make-believe...but the movie that correctly counters most of the lies gets 0 attention. And we are supposed to believe that the media isn't biased...rrriiiiggghhht.

Celsius 41.11, the temperature at which the brain begins to die, has come and gone, and I don't recall hearing one word about it in the press. I only ever saw anything about it online.

Not that it will matter, Bush will win by a larger margin than everyone is thinking...that is if the Democrats don't successfully pull off all of the voter fraud that is intended. Like the 30,000 "extra" voters in some places in Ohio.

New movie...
Mood:  energetic
Topic: Politics
Well, there is a new movie coming out soon that counters the lies from Michael Moore's "documentary". Maybe Celsius 41.11 should be called a documentary too...

I can't wait to see it, I've seen a movie trailer online, and looks to be pretty funny...or scary, depending on much credit you give to the wack job left. Personally, I think that they are all a bunch of head cases, and are only worth our attention when they do something stupid and we can laugh at them. Luckily, that happen quite often.

On another note, the www.electoral-vote.com site took off the projected final results page like two days after I posted about it. It was down for about a week...I guess the webmaster didn't like the fact that it kept showing Bush winning big time. Well, I guess that didn't go over too well, so they reworked the formulas...and tweaked them to favor Kerry. Then last week or so, they put the projected final results map back up. Miraculously, Kerry was now winning. Well, even with the formulas set against him, Bush is now showing up as the winner agian....gotta love it!

More problems.
Mood:  irritated
Topic: Grad School
The more I have to deal with FSU, the more I don't like it.

Recently, I got an email from the registrar's office claiming that they had not received my transcript for the spring 04 semester from USF. I responded and told them that the reason was that I didn't take any classes and was not enrolled in any college that semester.

USF had to send two transcripts...and an email explaining that the transcripts say that I was not enrolled for anything during that time.

I'm surprised that FSU has been able to retain students for this long...I find it impossible to believe that I'm the first graduate that has come from USf.

This past Friday....sucked!!

Read the previous Grad School post from Friday...and then add this one after it.

Well, after getting my car back, I came home and decided that I wasn't going to go anywhere or really do anything. So I was on the computer, and all of a sudden, my flat panel monitor goes totally white. Yup...my monitor died!

So now I decide to just go to bed and watch TV...I figure the only thing I'd want to blow out next is a cheap tv. I don't need to have my big tv blow up or my PS2. So it's 7:30 on a Friday night and I'm layin in bed watchin whatever catches my attention.

Sometimes you got wonder what you did in a previous life...ya know?

Gotta love those Dem's.
Mood:  a-ok

My wife, Margarita - who is a pharmacy student, and I were talking today about a political ad that came on the radio...while we going to pick my car up at the towing company...see Grad School entry for today for further details.

This ad was from the Democrats whining about how Bush had blocked the ability to bring cheap drugs from Canada. Uh...duh! Don't be fooled, the Democrat leadership knows full well that the drugs that would come in from across the border are sub-standard compared to ours, and often times are actually poison. Don't take my word on it...look it up for yourself.

Or we could look at this logically, drugs that come from Canada don't meet our FDA requirements...nor are the ingredients or manufacturing labs cleaned or inspected to the scrutiny that ours are. So if say drug X costs you $7 a pill if you buy it in the US, but you can get the "same" drug from Canada for only $3 a pill...is it worth it? Don't forget that the drugs that come in from Canada, aren't necessarily made in Canada...some could be made in Mexico...or overseas. So is your health and possibly your life worth $4? Mine is worth more than that to me .
