Current Events

Hello, and welcome to the current events page. You will find a mixture of God’s Word, politics and patriotism. While this will insure I do not receive tax-exempt status I do not see these items as being in conflict. I actually consider civic involvement to be the responsibility of men and women of faith.

This view while not popular today was shared by such notables as George Washington, Samuel Adams, John Adams, Patrick Henry, Richard Henry Lee and most all of our nations founders.

Our nation is at war and uncertainty reaches into almost every aspect of our lives, save one. The one certain constant thing we have to rely on is our Holy God and our Heavenly Savior Jesus.

In this uneasy time it is a helpful to remember the true meaning of our earthly existence. We are here to worship and praise God. A God that sent his son in human form to live a sinless life and die a terrible death, in payment of a debt he did not owe. We have God’s word, The Bible, which explains all of this in perfect detail and gives us a guide to live our very lives.

I pray that all people will hear God’s word and develop a relationship with Jesus. Please remember there is but one path to God and that is through Jesus.

“UNDER GOD”

To some of us this would not seam to be an issue of contention. The Bible refers to those that can’t see the obvious evidence of his existence as “fools”. This term comes to mind when I look at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The record shows that 80% of their rulings are overturned upon appeal. A batting average of 200 won’t get you out of the minors. They should be happy they are appointed for life and not dependent on performance to retain their position, like the rest of us. If so we would have several more ambulance chaser advertisements on cable, from second-rate attorneys looking to rip off insurance companies and raise our premiums. We are so lucky to have fools occupying the federal bench while qualified appointments are held up in the senate. Blocked by self-serving politicians that care only about themselves and not our country.

Tonight I listened to a U.S. Senator that proclaimed to be a Christian support the ruling. He spoke of the separation clause (a statement not found in the Constitution). He said we should feel bad for persons of other religions that are forced to hear the words “Under God.” I feel sorry for them, far more than he does. My heart is burdened, for they are condemned to a real place called Hell. If he were a Christian that was true to the word he would not rest until the name of Jesus was spread to all people everywhere. There are things much worse than hearing God’s name. Things like being separated from God for all of eternity. Our founding fathers recognized that we were a country founded on their Christian beliefs and they wrote of how these beliefs were the key to making our “great experiment” survive the test of time.

We must fight to maintain our Christian heritage while understanding that faith is a choice. It is a choice that has great consequences, but it is a choice. All we can do is continue to share the love of our holy Savior, Jesus.

While it is true that no court can have the slightest affect on God. How we react to attacks on God can make a difference in our lives. We must strive to worship and bring glory to God. If we shine as a Christian nation, we can be a lighthouse to oppressed people everywhere. There is no doubt that Satan doesn’t want this. Let’s call on the strength of Jesus and defeat him.

If you are interested in having Rev. Tom speak at your church or revival please email him to receive a tape. Rev. Tom speaks about the attack on our society from the teaching of evolution and has a special message about the Christian foundation of our nation and how the courts have twisted the truth. It challenges people of God to get involved in their communities and stresses that Christ is the true answer

"No one  is so good that they don’t need it"    "No one is so bad they can’t receive it".
