SURVEY

Planning

The survey isn't the main component of our project, but in fact, a very small-scale survey that we have decided to include for the purpose of supplementing the results of our documentary.

We intend to carry it out just before the school holidays. In our stages of planning, we have decided that the sample size be around 90, which comprises of 30 students each from levels Secondary 2-4 in our own school. Due to time and manpower constraints, we might need the help of our teachers to give out and retrieve the survey results.

The survey questions are currently still under planning, for we realised that we must choose our questions with utmost care to ensure that our results would be accurate and relevant. For example, we have to considerthe distribution of multiple-choice questions and open-ended questions since both have their advantages and disadvantages. The survey will contain about 25 questions, ranging from multiple choice questions to open-ended questions. Through this survey, we hope to gain results that can tell us something about the trend of voluntarism in Singapore among teenagers, to supplement our main interview.
