HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Mood:  hungry
Well today is Thanksgiving and we are going to my mom's house. Hopefully my little bro will be there so I can pick on him! hahahaha. Mom is cooking everything! I love her stuffing, it's the best. On Friday, we are going to the Miller's farm for their Thanksgiving and they are putting up a fence, and putting everyone to work helping.

We got a little scared last night because a storm came through and there were reports of a tornado. We got so much wind, hail, and rain, imagine that, in NOVEMBER!! This weather is getting more and more wierd!

Gotta go to Nana's house now. Take care everyone and Happy Turkey DAY!!!!!

An upsetting public school story
Mood:  irritated
Hi!

Busy weekend for us again. One of my nieces spent the night Fri. evening. Her and Amanda tried to get into one of Hillsboro's dances and when my niece tried to ask the principal, Ms. Sattlefield (?) she did not let my niece finish her sentence (rude) and she immediately said "NO, only students attending this school may be allowed to attend this dance". I was irritated because I do not understand why anyone from anywhere can attend the football games (some they have to even pay for to attend, just like the dance, it's not free) and the street dances they have in town, anyone can go, but a school dance which is informal and only for a couple of hours, a well-behaved homeschooler within the City of Hillsboro's school district cannot attend? COME ON!! I just don't get it!!

Well, that did not piss me off, what did was a friend of my daughter's went to the dance and he told me that he was dancing with a group of girls (this kid is very polite, caring and trusting and only about 12 yrs old.) he said that this same principal came up to him and grabbed his jacket (hoodie is what the teens call them) and pulled him backwards chocking him!!! I asked this boy if he told his mom yet about what happened and he said that he didn't tell her yet because he was at his dad's for the weekend. I told him that he should tell his mom and if I were his mom, I would address this awful incident to this woman that calls herself a principal on Monday morning. This woman should be revoked from her job! She should not be chocking, pulling on their clothes or touching the kids in any way whatsoever! I am furious! Poor kids having to put up with such a person like her. I am so lucky that my children do not go to this school.

Ok, enough venting....we finally made it to my nephew's bonfire that he had planned now for a month. Wes is such a good kid, and we had a good time, but it was very coooooooolllllllllldddd! They all enjoyed the bonfire, roasting weenies and marshmallows, hiking in the woods, playing on the haybails and they enjoyed the very long tractor ride. They rode all the way into East Fork State park. Nate, Charles and I stayed behind but I wish we would have gone. Nate was freezing cold and he has a terrible cough and congestion. He gets pneumonia really easily, so I had to keep him warm. THANK YOU WESLEY FOR A NICE TIME!! TIL NEXT YEAR......... LOL

My last entry is...we are not having any luck finding a decent house to rent. I want to move closer to my mom (in Milford) but the houses there are like 900 a month. I really want to move to Blanchester, but no luck there either. I am getting more and more depressed :( Say a prayer for us everyone! I can't give up I know something will come our way soon.

Ok, that's all for now, till later :)

It's almost 1am and I am beat, so Im off to bed. bye bye!

Our week and weekend
Mood:  spacey
Kristen has been trying out the Ohdela schooling. She decided she wanted to do this on a trial basis. Well, it has been a very interesting challenge. First of all, it took Ohdela several months before she got her laptop, books and other supplies. Now we are finding out that she has to keep a pretty strict schooling schedule in order to get the required 25 hours a week in. I personally do not like it at all. She has been doing ok as far as the hours go, but I have a feeling that she will soon be burnt out on it. Oh well, we gave it a shot. It might work, it might not, but that is the beauty of homeschooling, you can do it however works for you and your child!

One of Kristen's best friends, Kristin R. came over for the weekend for a visit. She hasn't been here to visit for several months. They are having a good time.

Amanda gets frustrated at her sister over chores. Amanda has to be very tidy, whereas Kristen doesn't care much for cleaning, it's hard to balance it out lol. We are trying to find something that Amanda enjoys doing. She loves to play her electric guitar, we are thinking about some way to have someone teach her how to read music and chords.

Nathan and Logan have been enjoying the bumper pool table that we recently got from someone. Nathan tries his hardest to hold the pool stick, Daddy helps him too, because Daddy is an excellent pool player! I will always remember my husband and father in law playing pool down in the basement for hours at the old farm (before the fire took it :(

Charles went deer hunting this beautiful Sunday. He's been trying to get us all involved in going hunting. I wanted to, but I do not think that I could honestly do it. I love to eat venison and love to have a freezer full of meat for the winter, but I can't see myself an arrow into a poor deer. Charles understands though.

As for me, I am sleepy today and overwhelmed with our messy townhouse and I am trying anything to avoid my chores. I will get to them sooner or later. I think I will wait until Kristen's friend and my niece leave, it's not fun picking up after six kids lol. I'm just looking forward to Wed. night, the new episode of Ghost Hunter's will be on again :) I love their website. It is

http://www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society.com/

The last episode was way to scarry for me, where they went to that old prison! WHEW

Well, I am going to take a nap for now then I might get up the notion to make me some banana nut bread!

Bye Bye!

Busy Weekend
Mood:  down
Hello,

Well, this Halloween weekend was busy for us. On Sat. we woke up early and looked at a house for rent in a small town not too far from us but closer to Nana. The house was big, but needs some work done inside such as painting and new carpet. Next we went to Nana's house to see if she wanted to go to Meijer's store to take Nate the Great and Logan to the store's indoor trick or treat. They had fun, even though it was crowded. Amanda and Logan got to spend the night with Nana. Logan wasn't too sure at first for spending the night, but we talked him into it.

Sat. evening, Kristen, one of my nieces, and their Uncle and their aunt and I all went dumpster diving, yes we dumpster dive! Our best finds were a radio/cd player, a digital camera, and vitamins. A lot of our dived finds we donate to local free stores. It's terrible what is thrown out and what could be donated. I don't know why these stores do not donate more, SAD!! Overall we had a fun time though.

Sunday, we went to visit my father in law in the hospital. We just found out that he has cancer again. A few years ago he had battled prostate cancer, but it has returned and now traveled into his bones. He is a good person, who has done alot in his life. He was/and still is a farmer, a beekeeper, and he even worked at a dude ranch in Kansas. I love to hear the stories he tells us about his childhood. We are saying tons of prayers for him right now. I just hope he can get to come home. Charles had reassured him not to worry, him and Logan will take care of everything. I had tears in my eyes.

After visiting Grandpa Miller in the hospital, we made our way back to Nana's house to go trick or treating in Milford. The kids lasted about an hour then we decided to call it quits. They had a nice time :) Thanks Nana for the taco dip!!!!! I just love that stuff!

Stay tuned for more blogging later on this week :))

Our daughter's medical condition
Mood:  down
This is a website that I found useful to explain Kristen and Amanda's medical condition that they have. Kristen had step one of two surgeries done last Aug. and unfort. she has had complications. We are hoping that next year we can schedule step two surgery to be done at the Cleveland Clinic.

Here is the website about the FAP

http://www.mtsinai.on.ca/familialgicancer/Diseases/FAP/default.htm

Everyone should have a scope done to check for any problems.

Knowledge is power!

My Ufo Studies
Mood:  quizzical
Now Playing: A Link
Here is the link of Amanda's UFO sighting she witnessed about a year ago.

http://home.fuse.net/UFO/Hillsboro2003.html

Ever since this event, it has made me curious about who, what, why, and more! When she told me she saw this that night, we were in bed and it was very late. So I told her to let me know about it all in the morning. When we woke up, she told me her whole story and so I decided to call someone about this. Also, a couple of days after this sighting, there was a crop circle that appeared not too far from us, near Serpent Mound. We did visit the crop circle and took some pics, but unfort. we could not get very close to it because the land owners posted no trespassing signs everywhere. I want to send out a big thank you to Donnie Blessing who helped us out with documenting her story :) She was very understanding and very knowledgeable!!

So far this year, we have only seen some strange lights in the sky one early morning, but they could have been those military flares, which are common around in this area.

If anyone would like to discuss UFO or haunting or psychic topics, feel free to post an entry here :)

Take care,

Tisha

A Beautiful Sunday Afternoon
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: A OK Day
Well, Friday we went to the Ceaser's Creek Pioneer Village and it turned out to be very interesting! We first met with a man who did a nice intro of the place. Then we went into an 1800's Quaker church and we learned a lot about how the Quaker's in helping out the slaves by hiding them under the pews and the women would spread out their dresses to hide them. They also were more liberal too.

Next was the interesting part. We walked over to a small cabin that said "School" on the outside, with a very large man frowning at everyone, which made my kids terrified, especially little Nathan. Before we entered into the school, he explained to us (in a very stern voice) the rules and asked for the girls to sit on one side and the boys on the other. Amanda, who isn't too fond of overbearing people, said to me right away "I'm not going in there, mom" hahahahaha. So we ventured into the school and Amanda went to sit on the boys side. He immediately said to her "Just who gave you permission to sit on that side" hahhahaha so she went to the girls side very quickly. I was trying so hard not to laugh. After the man/teacher closed the door, it was mostly dark in there. Well, poor Nate, he began crying, so him and I went outside, leaving Kristen, Logan and Amanda inside. They stayed in there, but when they were done, Logan stated to me that his eyes were watering because he was scared too hahahaa. My poor kids lol

The next cabin was the same man that did the intro and he was educating us about people that used to take care of the oxen. He said that they started training boys at the age of 8 to train them to take care and watch of the oxen. He let some of the children there direct the oxen with a rod. It was neat.

After that, we took our lunch break in the van but decided not to go to the last two cabins because Nathan had fallen asleep and we were all cold and tired out so we decided to call it a day and go home.

We had a great time and we got to meet two dear friends and homeschooling moms, Kas, and Laura with her children too. I just wish that there could have been more activities for the kids to do.

Saturday evening, my mom, Kristen, and my mom's friend Robyn, and myself went "ghost hunting". We went to some spots down along the Ohio River near our campsite, including the Waddle House, which sits right on 52. We parked across 52 from the house at the 'path' where supposedly people have seen spirits walking. We did not see anything but these tiny bugs on the pavement that were glowing. I am not sure what they were, but they almost looked like a short . ! One of the other places we went to was the Spade house in Moscow. That was a beautiful house, but what struck me was when we pulled across the street and sat there, I noticed a man in the window peering back at us. Robyn did too, but my mom couldn't see him because of a glare and Kristen didn't see this man either. He had on a vest or jacket with a scarf, he didn't look like he belonged, like he was from the 1800 or 1900. It was neat. I saw my first spirit!! We had fun and I hope we can go again soon.

I have to go for now, bye bye!!

Pumpkin Carving !!
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Amanda, Kristen and Nana Won!!!
Hello friends!

Well, yesterday evening, we went to a pumpkin carving contest and discussion with Rick Crawford (he's the historian for Clermont County), let me tell you how proud of Kristen, Amanda and Nana I am!! Amanda decided to carve a "pukin' pumpkin", it's where you carve a silly face and then put the insides of the pumpkin coming out of the mouth like it's puking! Kristen did a neat, tideous carving of Shrek (and accidentally cut two of her fingers, but she's ok), and Nana, being the wonderful artist that she is, carved a pumpkin sitting on a beach chair with a palm tree and a sunset! They judged each pumpkin on the scariest, most original, and so on. The woman hosting this would put her hand over top of each pumpkin and everyone would vote by clapping. Amanda won for the most grotesque, Nana's won for the most prettiest, and Kristen's won for the most funniest. They each received a small Halloween decorated pot and some candy inside it. Then they judged for the best one of them all, and guess who's won first place???? Amanda's "pukin' pumpkin" hahahhahha. I was proud of all of them. I will have to take some pics today and put them on here.

As badly as we wanted to stay and listen to Rick Crawford's stories about local hauntings, we had to leave early, Nathan was wanting to devour all of Amanda's candy she won and he was getting angry that we wouldn't let him have the whole thing of candy!! I think he inherited Nana's sweet tooth!!! There was also a psychic there with Rick telling about the Lehming house where this event was last night. I would have loved to stay and listen to it, but we had to go. Nana said it was interesting. Oh well, hopefully Rick will do another bus tour or event soon and I can go with the girls, if they don't get too scared!!

Today we are just going to chill out and clean and maybe do some school work. Kristen is going to do her first class on line today through Ohdela, so wish her luck! This Friday, we are going to try to attend the Ceaser's Creek Pioneer Village field trip along with our friends in the Heart To Heart Homeschooling group we belong too. I hear this is a great event so hopefully the weather will be nice and not so rainy!

Have to go for now, take care!

Honey from my hunny
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Yummie Honey from my Hunny
My husband, Charles, brought about 30 pounds of bee hive home from work Fri. night. His co-worker had cut down a tree and inside of it was a huge hive. Instead of this going to waste, he brought it home and he made us almost a gallon of honey! Ohhhh it's sooooo good too. I am so thankful for my hunny hahhahhaa, how cheesy huh? lol. Hopefully soon I will be able to buy us a digital camera so I can post some pics better pics on here.

bye bye :)
