"Without Limits" starring Billy Crudup
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: "So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin
Topic: Skool
so i have finally watched both of the Prefontaine movies that were made. The first being a gift for Xmas in 2003, "Prefontaine" is the more inspiring movie, where as "Without Limits" is the more hollywood style one. overall i really did enjoy both of the movies, but if i was to pick a favorite id have to say i prefer "Without Limits". so if you're in the mood to watch a good movie, and run, id say "Without Limits" is a great movie to watch. but enough about movie reviews, on with today. well nothing really. the only thing i guess i have to say is about track. well im sorta getting back into running, but i dont think im gonna be at all ready for the meet thursday against Trabuco. i doubt im even gonna touch a sub 5:05 mile, sub 11:20 two mile, and a sub 2:20 800. its gonna be quite possibly the most disappointing meet ive had so far. but then again this year i havent done that good. ive done no better than last year. ive beaten my mile by two seconds, 800 time by two seconds, and i havent officially beaten my two mile time (i've actually gotten two seconds slower). that means that ive got a lot that i havent used so far. my downfall might have been that i overworked my body during the winter break, that i peaked too soon.im not going out this season without breaking 4:54, and that is what i plan on doing this thursday.if it means only running the mile, then so be it. ive got to do what i did against el toro during the two mile against trabuco for the mile. i managed to maintain a pace and i was able to get a kick out of it. i need to feel like i did at Katella, and actualy finish in a really good time. ill be focusing on the mile extensively for the next week. there's only three weeks left till the end of track, and that means that ive got to run harder and faster than ever before. i do not wanna get disappointed this year like i did last year. if i fail again this year. im gonna do XC, but ill be working mainly on speed. and during the winter break at the end of this year, im gonna be doing all forms of cross training and running. next year im going for a 4:35 and under mile regardless of what i get this year. ive got a whole year to train to drop 20 seconds. i can do. just like the greeks say: "Citius . . . Altius . . . Fortius . . ."
