Chapter 5 Page 12: Jill's Princess

Chapter 5 Page 12: Steve had scanned Jill from top to toe: the white-creamy pullover, with its big breads looked as it had been created to dress him just: even more matched with his new trousers -Richmond's stuff-. He just looked amazing.
"You glitter on man, did you ever think about catwalkin?"
Steve's words weren't sarchastic, but Jill felt hitchin':
"Stop bollockin, you: don't make me feel like an ass. I don't really care about these things, the labels, the good gears you know: I ain't one of those who thinks daily about matchin sockets with their eyes' colours...It's that... well I have to outdo myself, for once!"
Was he planning some St. James Palace meeting or?...
"Nah, what are you thinkin.... no high society plan at all..."
"I don't mind Jill, I am not a gossip addicted myself: you wanted an opinion from me, and you got it. You're ultra cool, okay? And if it's a woman who pushed you at this level, believe me, she's gonna be at your feet, no question."
"Thanx man. I am dating Kass tonight, to cut it all finally...."
And he was about to dress himself like an actor to knife inside out a divine Venus's daughter- whom was wearing a "D" cup of bra (a "D" cup!!)- so cynically? He was a dork. Truly.
"Jill u're a dork, man...to dress yourself up so, and then..."
"Hang on, Steve! I didn't buy these stuff for Kass's date."
"Doesnt' matter: if you're about to quit her, listen, after all that you said she feels for you, you're a dork: truly."
"You can't get me there: I simply cannot continue like that anymore.It wouldn't be fair.And I can't keep on, I really can't."
Steve thought Jill must have a reason for that action, for sure: he seemed about to reach Nirvana from his face, and one of the thoughts inside that head of him had to be so fixed into his soul to become his living leit-motive.Surely there was a mattering reason to push him away from his fiancée that way. That surreal composition of his face, so balanced between intensity and simplicity... he never had the exact measure of the shining green Jill's eyes possessed: he reckoned suddenly they could make everything around emerald green.
"She's coming soon...it's all about it..."
SHE then.Right, she! That unnamed princess of him: Jill's standard, his flag; the infamous woman he had briefly spoken along with him during the painting day at the new apartment. Steve found anachronistic such an adoration for someone, but he was envious as much of the purity Jill used to show every time he was speakin of her, mentionin love in between. Jill's words towards that girl were like those of an ancient knight, and love was the armour that let him shine out, the armour that was protecting him from ordinary days.
That something he was ready to fight for against every conventional standard, that something that was makin him immune from normality...
"I also used to have that thing..."Steve thought. But he had painted it in black to stop its shine.
No time for regrets, he chased off the torch of them cos it wasn't belongin to his manners or attitude to waste time over past decisions that he had made with conscience and motivations. It would have been unrational and his flag was exactly rationality, instead.Whatever idea Jill had on the matter, since he was constantly imagining Steve like a mad head quite eccentric.
