Leo, Josephine, who has taken a fancy to one of the fish on the Stargazy Pie, Ginger and Queenie
"That pie looks scrumptious Josephine" says Leo as he sees Josephine reaching for a piece of Stargazy Pie" "It does doesn't it, and did you know there is a lovely story as to how it got its name?" Joesphine replies. "Oh do tell us" chorus Leo, Ginger and Queenie. "The Unicorns would love to know and we can tell them when we get home". says Queenie. "Well the story is about an old fisherman and his cat called Mowzer, who lived in a little village in Cornwall, named Mousehole, pronounced Mowzel in Cornish". Josephine pauses and the other cats eagerly wait to hear more of the story.
"The people there relied on fishing for their supper and a huge storm had been raging, preventing them from going out in their boats to fish!". "Oh the poor people". says Leo.
"What happened, did they starve?". asks Queenie in an anxious voice. "No, they didn't starve, for a very brave man called Tom Bawcock and his faithful cat Mowzer set forth on the 23rd December, in the teeth of the gale to catch fish for all the people. Mowzer felt sorry for the Storm Cat who raged all around them, as he only had mice-people to communicate with, so she purred and sang to him. He was so pleased that he stopped howling and purred instead, thus Tom was able to catch seven types of fish, enough for the whole village." Josephine pauses here "The people must have been so happy" says Ginger. "They were, for as Tom and Mowzer sailed into the little harbour, they say lots of lights twinkling, you see the folks had been so worried about them that the men had lit lanterns and all the women had put lighted candles in the windows of their homes. So, now on the 23rd December the whole town of Mousehole is filled with beautiful lights and everyone eats Stargazy Pie at the pub, while all the cats gather at the back of the pub and howl in memory of that brave cat Mowzer, who calmed the Storm Cat and helped her human bring home fish".
Leo and Ginger sigh. "What a lovely story and it just shows how clever and brave we cats really are". says Queenie". "Isn't it and that is why the fishes heads are always gazing at the heavens, in thanks for the lovely food". Josephine finishes her story and all the cats enjoy eating the Stargazy Pie.

"My sister Tiddler has spoken about you many times, you taught her graphics and she really enjoyed learning too."
"That's right I did, how is Tiddler, I see she has been helping Buddee with all the preparations".
"Wonder Buddee was able to complete them". says Spock thinking about the state Buddee was in the last time he saw him. "He did get a bit nippzed at the Catchelor Pardy".
Applie Pie and Moonlight laugh "Well, boys will be boys". says Moonlight "and he did put in a lot of work with my sister on this wedwinking, so I guess one night out is allowable".
Applie Pie laughs "Yes, we do have to make allowances for the boys, especially at Catchelor Pardies. Well, this food looks delicious and it appears the others are tucking in, so lets eat".
Mr. Spock hands around the various dishes for the girls to make their choices and all cats are soon happily eating.
