Photo Of The Week		The Haunting of the Amityville Home Our story begins at the DeFeo home, 112 Ocean Avenue, in the small town of Amityville, New York. The DeFeo residence is a large, three-story home built in the Dutch Colonial style with two quarter-moon shaped windows on the third-floor which overlooked the large lawn, and the street. In the lawn, there was a sign which read "High Hopes". This sign symbolized the DeFeo family's new life in suburbia. Prior to the house's erection in 1925, another house stood on the exact same plot of land. That house was later moved to a different plot of land but it is unknown why the homeowners moved. Was it due to haunting, or simply just a better plot of land? Many people think that the land the DeFeo home stands on was once Indian Burial grounds. Others say John Ketchum, who was a supposed witch and devil worshipper, was buried on the property and also did many of his rituals there. February, 5, 2008 LONG TIME NO SEE! So everyone has been very busy lately with their own things and such, but we haven't forgotten you! If you ever feel we need to update or you would like to add something to the site you can always check out our Myspace which is blooming and checked everyday! Good news is that we have news for you! There is a rumor floating around about a new book coming out all about Amityville and our very own Kimmi may even have a hand in helping out in the production of it! Remember to buy Kimmi's book at the end of next year. January, 7, 2007 HAPPY NEW YEAR! Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday. The creator of this site, Kimmi, has finished her book. Right now she is working on editing the novel to makes sure it is perfect before she sends it out to the public. Sorry that the updates haven't been as frequent as we would have liked but I assure you we have a good reason. Our webmaster, Kimmi (aka Intyze), has just finished her novel in hopes she can finish the editing and publishing phases by late December early January. Although the book is not on Amityville, it is a psychological thriller that I am sure you all will enjoy. Stay tuned here for more information on the book and its author. The bot contains games for people of all ages and adult games as well. It also has information on the site and community. Check it out.
