Ok so you want to know a little about me ? Are you sure ? I mean REALLY sure ? OK you asked for it.....
Let’s see, first how did I find myself in the company of those now known as the European Crew, seeing how I am obviously no where near Europe ? Well I have one awesome web site to thank for that – The Council of Elrond. I found the site while looking for some pictures of my favorite elves ;-) Well I found the pictures and a whole lot more ! The forums are out of this world, the fan art and fan fiction very impressive and inspiring, the chat is the best I have ever been in, the games and elvish lessons are cool, and the members are out of this world ! Three days after finding the site I became a member – KeeperofVilya – or Kovey as my friends now call me LOL.
Well after a few months on the site, I became a mod for the chat rooms and soon after that became co mod of one of the forums and also became part of the Welcome Wagon, who’s task is to welcome the new members who join the site. Oh and just FYI, as of the time this is being written we are at over 9,000 members ! ! I spend most of my time now working in the forums, chatting till all hours of the night, making e-cards and wallpapers and avatars, writing fan fiction, drawing fan art, being lost in the Role Play Threads, and being totally obsessed over certain elves ( Legolas, Elrond, and Haldir) and certain actors (Hugo Weaving, Orlando Bloom, Craig Parker, and Karl Urban) LOL.
Of the many people I have meet and come to know and love on this site, some are those who call themselves the European Crew. Birgitte I met in the chat room one day and although we did not hit it off from the very start, we soon became close friends and she is my dear Sisy Boo ;-). Now we work together on the Welcome Wagon and I am helping her with her fan fiction. She is a energetic, fun, and great person to be around. Mari-Johanna is a great friend and a really cool person to know. We met in the chat and to be honest I was not quite sure what to think at first, but now we are great friends and I enjoy chatting with her and working on ideas for the site. Angelina and I got to know one another through the forums. She is an awesome person and I love having time to chat with her. We are both in the same Role Play Threads and she is also part of the Welcome Wagon. We are so much alike it very scary – maybe we really are sisters LOL. Kate I did not know very well at first when I joined the site. I had seen her quite a bit and chatted with her a few times. It was not until we started working on the Welcome Wagon together and became co moderators in the forum that I really got to know her – she is a very interesting and fun person to be around. Janet was one of the very first people I ever met when I joined the Council of Elrond. I met her in the chat room and we hit it off from the very start. She is one of my closest and dearest friends and I have spent many hours chatting with her, discussing the Role Play Threads we are in, working on fan fiction, and swooning over our favorites elves LOL. Leen is the member of the European Crew I have known the least amount of time, yet she is by no means less special to me. She is a dear friend and I enjoy our talks and am glad to be able to count her as one of my dear friends. We met through the forums and really got to know one another in the chat. The last but by no means least member, dear ole Toon. Toon is a great guy by every definition of the word. He is friendly, smart, funny, and I really enjoy being able to talk with him and he is always ready to answer any of my annoying questions about computers LOL. As a whole these are not just people, these are my friends, and they have been there for me through the hardest times and have helped me to feet when I fall, and go out of their way to help me when I am down, and for that I am very grateful and thankful. I always feel better after talking with them, and it is because of them and their friendship that I am a member of the European Crew.
Ok so that’s a little about me and why I am here with these guys and loving every minute of it ! See ? Told ya you’d be sorry ! LOL ;-)
Yeah we may be a bit weird, silly, odd, even crazy... but heck who wants to be normal – NOT ME !
