Happy_Hobbit aka Janet

Well this is me. I joined CoE on the 21st May 2002, my first visit was in search of Pics of my fave LoTR guy Frodo Baggins, when I saw the site I got lost looking through the gallery and after several hours I decided this was the place for me.
It wasn't long before I found the Chat room here I spent many a happy hour roleplaying, sometimes as a Hobbit, naturally and sometimes as a dragon, blue dragon to be exact. Soon HH became famous for Dragon flights in the chat room.
It was only later that I got interested in Role play in the Forum and to my everlasting surprise became CoE's First RP MOD. Now I live there for there my imagination can play. Currently I have two Fav threads, An Elf walks into a bar and A way to Freedom. Away from the RP Forum I am working on E-cards Wallpapers, banners, three Fanfics and an odd poem now and again.
All in all I'm a pretty busy Hobbit, but with such great friends its a joy to spend time at CoE.

I first joined CoE back in july, can't remember why, possible because i wanted to comment on the pictures in the gallery, then I discovered the forums, and I just ended up staying.
I've been on CoE a very long time now, it's the first community I joined on the web and it's one of the best places I have ever been.

I remember when i was first asked to work for the site, Rivka approached me in chat to "talk to me" I was convinced I had done something wrong... turned out that she thought I would be good as a welcomer, KoV and I teamed up and so the Welcome Wagon was born. A few months later I was asked to moderate the palantir, a relatively new forum on CoE and now I deal with account problems too.

I'm going to repeat what everyone else has said now, the site really is a home away from home, it's friendly, welcoming and has an amazing atmosphere. when I'm not "working" on the site I'm usually found in the chat, or the illustrations gallery *drool*.

Of course if it wasnt for Tolkien I wouldn't have found CoE... I love to read but used to stick to horror books (Stephen King is still one of my favourite authors) but decided I needed to read more "classics". And with the film coming out, I thought Lord of the Rings would be a good place to start.... needless to say I fell in love with Tolkien's world... I'm sure you all know what I mean.

So what am I doing when I'm not reading or playing on the CoE. Well in my "real life" I'm a medical student in south wales, I'm in my second year of study and getting along just fine. Can't wait to see some real patients though!
I'm involved with my university caving club, which I love. Caving is a sport that I only discovered relatively late in life, but it's a great way to spend time... we have recently branched out into canyoning too (absailing down waterfalls) which is amazing, can't wait to try it out in France.

When I'm not in university I live down in the Westcountry of England, which is a beautiful place to be. Down there I have a large family, a twin brother, a little brother and a little sister, and I'm proud to announce I shall soon be an auntie as well! In my home town I was involved in teaching lifeguarding and scouting, but had to give both up to move away to university.

I have a super immune system *Romantic but has difficulties expressing love romance isn't very me... *Loves children kids are evil *Homely person don't know... I like having a roof over my head *Loyal just call me...um, what are those loyal animals? cats?? just call me catwoman ;-) *Needs to improve social abilities absolutely, my social skills are seriously lacking... I can't yet drink a pint in 4 seconds! *Easily jealous my eyes are brown, not green
