Gulliver Toys!

This area is probably one of the most unknown and confusing parts of Secret Wars lore. As Super Powers fans well know, Super Powers was licensed outside of the U.S. by several companies and was known as Super Amigos in other countries. Secret Wars and Marvel followed suit and were produced in other countries ( I say other, because other than Brasil, I don’t know which other countries).

I’ve seen a couple of different examples of these foreign versions. The first type is pictured below.

As you can see, it’s quite different from the U.S. or even the common European versions. A distinctly different background color, different inserts, and also a stand to hold up the action figure-which would have been great for Mattel to do.

The second version is even more different and was produced under the header of “Super-Herois” and features a more horizontal card. Pictured below: Spider-Man (black costume), Dr. Doom, Dr. Octopus, Iron Man. Any insight or information on these versions is needed. I’m also actively looking to purchase or trade for any of these Gulliver items.

A prominent Secret Wars collector, Michael Mensinger also has several Gulliver items. Other items include Dr. Doom on a motorcycle of sorts. The figures mold is quite unique as is the motorcycle he rides. More info on this as it becomes available.
