Matt's Page of Games and Music

Don't be afraid to take this poll, even if you're the only one - which you probably are.

Also, If you get a picture with a red X, and you have AOL like me, right click and do "show picture" and that will usually work. I don't know what to do with any other browsers.

July 17th 2000 - As you can see this page is extremely boring but my games page is better and I'm now starting a music page.

July 27th 2000 - It seems since I changed the page from "Matt's Page of Whatever" to "Matt's Page of Games and Music" I've got about five hits, up from zero in the previous format. Also I've started a guitarists page and I'm contemplating a bands page. Five Mb is a lot to fill up.

August 4th 2000 - I made an "...Of the Week page" with Tab, Book, Link, Game, and Joke categories. It will hopefully change every Monday I'm near a computer. I've also got about 1/3 of the guitarists I'm writing about up.

August 12th 2000 - Finished the guitarist page and added "writing" and "matt" htmls. These will be about me and some stuff I've written for school, and am proud of.

August 16th-19th 2000 - Adding lots of stuff to the writing page. There will be lots of stuff to read but the worst part is I have to type about a third of it, since it's not saved to disk. Oh well. Also an astounding 25 people have visited but only one or two took the poll.

August 20th 2000 - Added "books" html where I'm putting reviews of every book I can find that I've read.

August 28th 2000 - Finished the books page and added stuff to the matt html. Pictures of me and other people should be up when I figure out how to put them on a computer. I also recently bought "The Wall" by Pink Floyd so check the music page for a review later - I'm sure it will be favorable.

September 5th 2000 - Moved into the University of Denver this Sunday and once I can find free time I'll make more pages and update the current ones.

September 22nd 2000 - I finally updated the ...of the week page and added to the writing and books pages. I think I'll start a bands page now that I'm getting used to life here.

October 9th 2000 - I've been doing some work on the bands page and a few updates to ...of the week. Angelfire gave everyone 50 Mb of space, which is cool since I was almost at the limit. Expect more long breaks, like this last one, between updates.

October 27th 2000 - I've been thinking of putting up new pages - running, soccer, quotes, and movies - but not doing anything about it. I also haven't done much work on the bands page, but I should this weekend. When winter break gets going I should update a lot more often. It starts on November 22nd, so it'll be a while. The nice thing is we get till after New Year's for break, so I'll have lots of time to work on the site.

December 6th 2000 - I'm on break now but time will be more scarce than expected because I've got one part time job and will be looking for another soon. Apparently "relaxation" and "vacation" aren't in my Dad's vocabulary. I also have to ski, but I'll be updating more than before. Today I added some papers to the writing page, updated ...of the week, added a book review, and may work on the bands page.

December 9th 2000 - The counter is slowly moving up and so is the number of people who took the poll of the "week". For some reason, no one has answered no. It should become a true poll of the week once I can gain actual information from visitors in the space of a week, meaning more people have to visit first. I'm cleaning up some pages and working on the bands page.

January 3rd 2001 - I'm back in school for the duration (except a measly week for spring break) and, not surprisingly, I didn't get as much done on the site as I would've liked. That can be attributed to sleeping, a part time job, skiing, and Diablo II. Hopefully I'll spend more time on the site this quarter since I'm more settled in, but no one visits this site so what's it matter?

January 10th 2001 - The bands page is finished and it's so big I decided to give solos artists their own page, creatively named artists.html. I'll probably be slowing down progress as classes get into the swing of things and teachers start piling on the homework. I added three CD's I got for Christmas to the music page also reset the hit counter.

February 16th, 2001 - I see it's been a while. I've been busy with being sick for three weeks and schoolwork, so that's why I've been slacking. I finished the solo artists page, added some of the English papers I've done, added two books, and updated the of the week page.

March 14th, 2001 - Almost made it a month without updating. Spring Break soon so I'll be skiing, not working on this site. I just had one final to go to today so with the free time I've added a book, updated of the week, and added three papers to the writing page. And so ends another quarter. Looks like I worked on it four times in ten weeks. Oh well.

April 6th 2001 - You may ask yourself, why is the year on here? And you may ask yourself, why do clouds disappear when you are near? And you may ask yourself where is my big fancy website? And you may ask yourself why am I still in the Basic Editor? And you may ask yourself what is the meaning of life? And you may say to yourself, "Why, to build a site on Angelfire". Thank You. I made a quotes page. Sorry if you don't get them.

April 21st 2001 - I finally scanned some pictures and put them up. I'll add some more next weekend. Updated "of the week" and that's. I guess I'm really on the internet now. Oh joy.

June 2nd 2001 - Updated of the week, added two thoughts, added a book, and put up some more pictures. I've been spending all my time online at Plastic.com or doing email the past month and a half. Next weeks is finals week (three weeks after everyone else is out) so I'll soon be back home for the summer. Might add some Power Points I've done for school if I figure out how.

July 19th 2001 - Did of the week and reviewed 3 cd's. Will do some more later. I've been working over 40 hours/week at the W-M. I quit going online so much now that I have the Diablo 2 expansion. Otherwise I'm running, eating, or sleeping. Or going to movies since my brother works at a theatre and can get me in for free. A.I. and The Score were both good, but I'd recommend A.I. more. I really want to see Planet of the Apes the most. JP 3 looks stupid. Ooooooh, Spinosaurus vs. T. Rex! More dinosaurs eating people (except the main characters of course)! That's about it. It'll be cool, but nothing new I think. We got a CD burner so once the iLink card is installed on the comp in two weeks, I should have some mp3's on plastic and ready to review. Also, when I get to it, movies, running, soccer, and skiing pages will be made, so you'll be able to read more insightful movie reviews like the one above. They should be longer though.

June 27th, 2002 - So it's been a non-caring-about-my-website year. Finished off year 2 of college by getting steadily lower and lower grades each quarter, but it's supposed to be less work the next two years. I lived with two other engineers for 8 months, one of whom was a pain and one of whom became my friend. I pulled a B average, and I increased my knowledge vastly. Unfortunately I seem to have forgotten much of what I learned already. It's hard not to do a memory dump after finals. After a month or so of vacationing to Florida, Maryland, and Kansas to see the ocean, a friend, and family, respectively, I'm gonna work the cash register at Wal-Mart again for the summer. It's not the greatest but it's money and the people are nice. Plus, none of customers expect anything of you, so if you act pleasant and speak English, you're ahead of the game. Another thing worked out for me so I won't have to make-up a class I dropped this winter over the summer, which means not having to drive to Denver once a week and destroying my weekend in the process. All-in-all things are currently looking up. In site news, I'm adding some writing I've done over the past interval of time, and maybe I'll actually add some stuff I said I was gonna add before - new pages and stuff.

September 14th, 2002 - Back at school and nobody woke me up in the morning to tell me that there were terrorists attacks all up and down the East Coast and then turning on the TV to see Manhattan on fire. The worst thing that's happened was the fire drill at 3 AM last night. Today I added some book and game reviews and a little counter to keep track of the people who don't come here. Hey, I can dream can't I?

November 11th, 2002 - One evening in a particularly creepy corridor, it begins...

April 19th, 2003 - Happy New Year! Let's see. Building a robot that goes from one place to the another is quite time consuming. So is learning C++. So is learning assembly language. So is trying get in enough skiing, running, guitar playing, and computer gaming that you don't become subpar at any of them. The crushing defeat of being wait-listed by the graduate business school where I'm currently doing undergrad bothers me, but I shall try and get into it over the course of the next month. The job hunt goes not-so-well. Mostly I'm looking for some kind of internship now, with a full-fledged job to follow later. Grew a real beard for the first time, and I didn't recognize myself when I shaved it off. Self-perception is powereful stuff. I'm still getting used to how I really look. It's seems like I even look different than in pictures. Maybe thats' just aging. I watched Bowling for Columbine a while back and had my eyes opened, but mostly about the black/white relationship, not America's culture of fear. It's a recommended view. Also looking forward to The Matrices and Return of the King. I've been adding bits and pieces to this site over the last few months, but nothing noteworthy. I guess it'll get updated whenever I'm bored and recall that it exsists.

February 18th, 2004 - I always forget how to spell February. Same with surprise. I'm in MBA school now and learning that the business world isn't completely immoral and bent on sapping the planet of its resources in order to make a quick buck. Crude generalizations like that have a tendency of being wrong. I'm learning all about who I am and who other people are and what I've got to do to get out of school and out into cold, hard adulthood. Being around a bunch of 27 year-olds is kinda nice because I know that if I fail, I can always crawl back to school for a master's in something or other. A comp sci degree would suit my fancy. What's that you say about tuition? My debt will be a pebble among boulders. A lake among oceans. A George Bush among Yale intellects. *drum-kick to cymbal-crash*. Additionally, if you want a source for music videos that will make you a teenage boy's best friend, go to urbanchaosvideos.com and follow the instructions for using mIRC in a legally-questionable way.

May 17th, 2004 - All at once, you hear the cry. As wind escapes a conch. As a butterfly lifts off. As a small marsupial passes gas. It enters your thoughts. Dork, come hither...
