Chapter Three

At a karaoke bar, two girls were eating and looking through a book of songs. They were trying to find one that they wanted to sing.

"What song do you think we should sing?" Ashley asked, putting her dark brown hair up in a ponytail and checking in a mirror to see if it looked alright.

"I have no idea," said Jessy, flipping the page.

"Well, being the huge Michael Jackson fan that I am, maybe we should go old school."

"With what?" Jessy asked.

Ashley stopped her friend from turning the page and pointed to "ABC" by the Jackson 5.

"You really think we should sing that?" Jessy asked, her green eyes looking straight into her friend's brown eyes.

"I know we should."

Ashley filled out the form and turned it in. While the girls sat down to have a bite to eat and a little to drink while they waited, Johnny Wright walked in. No one noticed, because the karaoke bar was so crowded. He sat and ate and just enjoyed some karaoke fun.

After a short while the MC called, "Ashley and Jessy, you're up."

Ashley and Jessy went up to the stage and sang their hearts out, while Johnny sat back in amazement.

"This is exactly what I'm looking for," he thought to himself, watching the two beautiful girls.

One was wearing a red belly shirt and blue hip-hugger jeans, with a pair of high heeled sandals. Her dark brown hair was pulled up into a ponytail. The other girl had on a silver belly shirt and black jeans, with black cowgirl boots. Her golden brown hair was down, and rested just above her shoulder.

When Ashley and Jessy were done singing, they went back to their table. Johnny walked over to them, and held his hand out to shake theirs.

"Hello, I'm Johnny Wright," he introduced himself.

"Well I'm Ashley..."

"And I'm Jessy."

"I just wanted to tell you two you did a really amazing job up there, and I don't know if you know this, but I like to manage singing acts. Is this something you are interested in as more than a hobby?"

"Oh yes, we know you are a manager," Ashley said with a smile. "And let me tell you, we are extremely interested in singing."

"Well, I think I have the perfect project for you," Johnny said, handing them a business card.

"Please stop by my office tomorrow. I would like to interview you. Be there anytime between twelve and two, that's when I'm free."

"Okay Mr. Wright. We'll be there," Jessy said, putting the card in her pocket. Both girls watched as Johnny walked out of the bar.
