Cloudy with a bit of rain and snow.
Today was an okay day. I got up to an empty apartment, so I wasn't sure if hubby had gone to work or the doctor. Long story short, the doctor. He didn't have flu, but was tested for it and given a bunch of medicine. Sigh.
He seemed a bit miffed that I didn't want to go out for lunch with him, so he went and then came back. When he did, he turned into a couch potato and fell asleep on the couch. I didn't want to go out because I wanted to cook my own lunch. I did. If he'd been able to wait a bit longer I'd have cooked his too! I did up the dishes and got ready to leave.
Fumihiko offered to drive me to my school and I took him up on his offer. I wouldn't have minded biking over, but he insisted, so I let him! He dropped me off and I got to work.
I turned on the heaters, changed and did a bit of cleaning. I didn't vacuum, but I swept the floor and did some dusting. I also prepared my paperwork for the new student's mother. I had two classes today, and they both went quite well. The first one, with the new student was interesting. He did very well, but seemed very quiet and shy. Still, he doesn't really know me yet. I used to teach his older brother back in my eikaiwa days and he was a bit of a handful, so I might prefer this child!
After my lessons I finished up and then called Fumihiko. By now he was sounding quite bad. He did sound sick on the phone. While I waited for him to pick me up, I read some of my book. I've been reading Labyrinth by Kate Mosse. It's good, and I've finally managed to get over the halfway point. I may even be 2/3 of the way through I hope.
We had dinner at Gusto tonight, cheap and cheerful! It was okay, nothing exciting.
We came home and I was going to go to the grocery store on the way, but changed my mind. I wanted to get something for my dinner tomorrow. Fumihiko is going to a meeting for the people in our apartment building tomorrow night. It's at a restaurant and I imagine there'll be eating and drinking. (Especially since it costs 3000 yen to go!) I was a bit miffed that I wasn't invited, but on the other hand, I wouldn't want to go anyway, so who cares!
We watched the season premiere of Monk tonight. It was quite funny. Stanley Tucci was on playing an actor who was playing Monk for a movie. I think Peter Weller was playing the captain. I didn't check IMDB yet to confirm it though. (Just back from there...yup, I was right. Cool that!)
Anyway, hubby went off to bed just after the show finished. I played around on my computer for far too long. I'm going to have to go to bed now as I'm very tired. I did have an afternoon class tomorrow, but my student cancelled it. Oh dear. A day off! What shall I do with myself? Decisions, decisions!
