Summary
The day after investigating a fatal jewellery heist, Herzog prepares a birthday surprise for Hoffmann. She's the only person at Hoffmann's apartment when two of the jewellery thieves break into Hoffmann's apartment. Believing that the police have the stolen diamonds, they take her hostage. Hoffmann and Rex are given an ultimatum; deliver the diamonds or Herzog dies.
