Summary
While investigating the murder of a night-club owner, Moser overhears an incriminating conversation. With only circumstantial evidence, Moser's testimony becomes crucial to keeping the killer behind bars. The killer's companions, however, are determined to stop Moser from testifying at all costs - and they plan to get to him through Rex!

The good
Rex watches TV while Moser cleans the kitchen. Rex's refusal to help puts him in Moser's bad books, although Rex responds quickly enough when it's 'official business'. Once again Moretti shows how well he can act, becoming increasingly worried and desperate as the episode moves on. In a rather touching scene the other detectives, Stockinger and Höllerer, declare their support for Moser, saying he is 'more than just a colleague'. There is also interesting information about the legal rights of police dogs in Austria.

The bad
Once again with the small child! Rex may be adorable but the number of children he instantly befriends is unbelievable. On a technical note, Moser committed perjury during this episode but there weren't any consequences from it. Perjury is illegal no matter where you live. Are we supposed to assume that nobody ever told the judge the truth? Not even the bad guys?

Disclaimer : Kommissar Rex is owned by Mungo film, Tauris film, SAT.1 and ORF and was created by Peter Hajek and Peter Moser. None of the characters, actors or photographs belong to me, unfortunately. I'm just borrowing them, having a bit of fun and then returning them more or less unharmed.
