Third Annual
Mood:  on fire
Topic: Disc Golf

Today, we participated in our third annual disc golf tournament. At this point in the day we had finished our first round with five to go. I was in the lead but Zach eventually passed me about 75 baskets later and won. That makes three years in a row for him. It's time to start training for next year.

Sarah and I headed east along the 22 to scope out a new spot for a sunset. We ended up just around the block from our apartment in a church parking lot. It wasn't the most amazing location, but we got some interesting pictures.

Sunny Skies
Mood:  bright
Topic: Sky

The skies turned from gray to sunny and I was ready to start a new streak of pictures each day. This is the sunset from our apartment. This was not an official weekly sunset for Sarah and me.

Gray Skies
Mood:  d'oh
Topic: Sky

I blew it. I missed a picture of the day for yesterday. I don't know what happened. I just forgot. I realized it this morning when I was walking to my car. I was feeling a bit sad so I thought the gray skies matched my mood.

Ping Pong
Mood:  happy
Topic: Sports

Sarah and I went up to my Mom's house. First we did some putting next to the El Segundo Golf Course. Then we played some bocce ball on the grass at Imperial strip. Then we finished the sporting events with some ping pong.

I played La Mirada today with Wade. I had the perfect game through 15 and then I got a bogie on 16. This was my shot on 17. If you look way in the background you may seen a red dot. That is the tee off spot.

Promotional Video
Mood:  chillin'

Tonight Sarah and I went to see Shon put together his promotional DVD. He is a singer and motivational speaker. He is also the son of our mentor couple at Rock Harbor. We had a good time and he did a great job.

Belmont Peninsula
Mood:  down
Topic: Rocks

This was our spot for our 54th weekly sunset. At the South end of the Belmont Peninsula we walked out on these rocks. We watched the sunset, saw some guy catch a fish, and saw a dolphin jump completely out of the water.

Bocce Ball
Mood:  chillin'
Topic: Sports

Before bible study we had a BBQ. I don't know if it was officially the going away party for Dan. He is the guy throwing the bocce ball and he is moving to Seattle this weekend. Good luck Dan. Come back soon.

Wayward Disc
Mood:  incredulous
Topic: Disc Golf

Zach, Ryan and I went disc golfing. Basket six was in the long position today, but all three of us had problems with the first set of trees. On Ryan's second throw his disc was heading toward the street. It looked like it might have enough room as it landed on the grass and kind of skidded and slowed on the sidewalk. Then it just slipped right over the edge of the curb. When he went to investigate he discovered the sewer drain. It was the second disc he lost today.
