Domestic Flights

Internal flights between Gaborone, Francistown and Maun are available from Air Botswana.

Airports

Domestic air services operate between the major airports: Gaborone Airport (GBE) Francistown Airport (FRW) Maun Airport (MUB) Kasane (BBK)

There are a total of 92 runways in Botswana, of which only 12 are paved. Charter services can be arranged to reach remote areas. These tend to be very expensive, but are cheaper when booked through a tour operator.

Gaborone is an hour's flight from Johannesburg, which offers convenient connections for international passengers Traveling to Gaborone. Air Botswana - the national carrier- and South African Express Airways operate daily flights between the two cities. Air Botswana also operates return flights to tourist areas of Maun and Kasane as well as Victoria Falls and Harare in Zimbabwe.

Car Hire

A variety of vehicles can be hired from an international company in Gaborone, Maun and Francistown, and Maun and Gaborone have independent companies offering 4x4's for hire.
