Entertainment Center How To - 16 X 9 TV

So you've just went and spent the big bucks on one of those really cool 16 X 9 flat screen televisions and by gosh there is absolutely no way the thing is going to fit in your entertainment center. Not to worry, I've designed a simple entertainment center just for you. This entertainment center was designed for the home handyman who has a few woodworking tools but not a complete workshop and features adjustable shelves on either side of the television and a two door cabinet below the television. There is plenty of storage space for VCR tapes, CD's, DVD's and books.

The primary tools that you will need to build, assemble, and enjoy this entertainment center are:

Table Saw

Drill Press

Square

Tape Measure

Router with straight cutting bit

Biscuit Cutter (plate joiner)

The assembled overall dimensions of this entertainment center which has been designed for a 42" 16 X 9 widescreen television are 96 inches wide X 72 inches high X 18 inches deep.

I will post the drawing on this site as a bitmap file, a 2D drawing, a 3D solids model, and later a rendering photo. For the 2D drawing and 3D solids model, you will need AutoCAD 2000 or an AutoCAD compatible viewer.

See the bitmap file, download the 2D drawing (.dwg) or download the solids model
