So You Want To Make A Grand Skeem Fan Site???

If you are thinking of making a fansite for The Grand Skeem, here are some pointers to help you out along the way. Good luck with your new site!!

Get A Domain

The first thing you need to do is figure out where you are going to build your site. If you are familiar with HTML, a good site is Angelfire, which is what I'm using. I've heard about Geocities and Homestead, but I don't think they give you as many options and they are harder to maintain.

Create A Color Scheme

Unless you want a funky site, I would suggest keeping all the pages in the same color scheme (i.e. all the backrounds and font and font colors the same to be more adjustable and pleasing for the viewer). Also check with other people to make sure this scheme isn't too bright, not able to read, etc.

Get Your Information

Make sure you know what you are going to be doing with this website! Plan out what will go on what page, and make sure you have everything you want to be included on that page because it can be frustrating to keep going back and making changes when you start the site.

Get Started!

Start by creating all the .html or .htm sites you are going to be making, and make sure while you are doing them that if you need to link it to another site you have the spelling right to everything so you won't have broken links and no images. Exchange Banners

once you are done with your site, ask people to put you on their links page or give them your banner (ad) in return that you put their website banner/link on your site. It helps boost your traffic and get your site known!

It is a good idea not to give out the address of your site to anyone until everything is done, it will avoid a lot of complaining and if it is fully done people will enjoy it better
