The Grand Skeem is HOT so ya'll better check them out if you haven't already!! So how did this Manhatten Band become the new rock/punk/hip hop sensation??? Well it all started out with Ali Dee, the now lead singer, and his productions with several other hip hop bands back in '98. He met up with Vinni, who became their lead guitarist because of he plays so sick on the guitar. The sound now had a punk, more rock edge to it, making a dope dance song to get down with when your with your friends. After placing an add for a drummer in the Village Voice, they hooked up with Donato, and almost completed the band. Then they got Steve (preferable St3ve) through the same add. The band was complete!! After hittin the studios, and airplay from a few radio stations, {Max106.3}, The Grand Skeem was becoming a known name, and landed a record deal with RCA. From there on, its probably been a big rush for them, with a video for "Baby Got Back", and a cd coming out in Spring of 2002, but for the fans, its new cd to add to their collection, a new wall to fill with posters, and a new sound that they will love for a long time! |
