Most customers come into a framing shop and expect just to buy a frame that is what ever the furnitures done in. That is why we are here to help. We want all of our customers to walk out of the shop with a smile on their face and a definite need to do other framing work. We never fame a peice to the furniture in most cases. But if their is existing framing that is another story.
When you bring your artwork in the shop we analize the peice to make sure what will or will not look good (design wise). Colors are very important when you are framing a peice. We'd like for the peice to compliment the colors in the room or vise-versa. After all framing is a peice of furniture added to your home.
After the design is layed out and you love what you are seeing we move to the next step in our design process:
Your artwork is safely secured in airtight, dust-free, mylar pockets.
Depending on the type of artwork you are framing, your piece may be drymounted. This process uses a heat activated vacum press (see left) to adhere your artwork to a foam centered board to prevent rippling. Your artwork may be hinged to attach your artwork.
