Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day 6 Day 7

Hello there, reader. So nice of you to pop in and read about my trip to Southern California! I will be trying to describe all parts of this trip day-by-day, with lots of detail, and many pictures. So sit back and enjoy!

After all the excitement of Presto Studios, the trip up the tram, and the hike through Indian Caverns, Day 5 was a day of relaxation. While my Uncle Brian worked out of home for the day and my dad went out for a job interview, I stayed home with my uncle, watched television, and read a book for most of the day.

The book I'm reading right now is a really good book. It's called Cosm and it's about this experiment at a collider called the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC, pronounced "rick"). While running an experiment with uranium, the physicist name Alicia thinks everything is going well when all of a sudden, a loud explosion is heard. Due to some unknown reason, a basketball-sized black sphere has appeared which blew out the pipe and made the explosion. The part I am at now is where she and her fellow scientists are trying to figure out what it is. It's quite interesting. I recommend it to anyone for a good sci-fi read.

While reading the book, I listened to my three soundtracks from the Myst games: Myst, Riven, and Exile. They emphasize the moods of the book very well.

After I read for several hours, I decided to watch television and to my pleasant surprise, there was a Real World marathon on MTV. I love all the reality television shows. Everything seems to be a copy of Real World and Road Rules from MTV. So I watched that until my father got home and then we went and walked along the beach. That was great fun. I don't often get to see the ocean and walk along the beach playing in the surf and in the sand, so that was great. I asked my dad if we could to go the beach on Day 6 since we didn't have anything planned for that day yet. he said we could and that's what we did on Day 6.

That's all for Day 5!
