Raditz Saga
Raditz Saga The Raditz saga is what starts the Dragonball Z series. It
starts off with Goku and Gohan attending a reunion on Kame Island. There
they meet up with Krillin, Bulma, Chou Zu (i think), and Master Roshi.
This is also where Gohan is introduced into the series. After partying for
a short while a great power is sensed by Goku. A short while later a man
appears floating above the island sporting long black hair and saiyan
armour. After explaining to Goku his birth story about being a saiyan he
captures Gohan and leaves. A short while later Piccolo appears. Him and
Goku make an arrangement to team up on the saiyan. They leave in search of
the saiyan with a dragon radar, Goku on nimbus and piccolo flying. The
dragon radar was using the dragonball on Gohans head to track him. There
search takes them into the mountains where they see Raditz. He has trapped
Gohan in a saiyan pod due to his complaining which annoyed Raditz earlier.
After exchanging words a battle insues where the saiyan warrior proves to
be a handful. Gokus kamehameha seemed to have little to no effect on
Raditz. After a little exchange of attacks theres a pause. Goku and
piccolo remove their weighted clothing (IE// Boots and top for Goku, Cape
and turban for Piccolo). Their power levels rise as they do this. They
then go back into battle. After a short while Goku gets a hold of Raditz's
tail (a saiyan weakspot.) Raditz seems defeated but as Raditz promises to
leave the planet Goku trusts him and releases the tail. raditz counters
and Goku ends up with raditz's foot on his neck. The screams of pain
coming from Goku are heard by Gohan and his anger brings his power level
up to 1071 (very high at this time of DBZ). He explodes out of the pod and
onto the battle field. He then headbutts Raditz cracking his armour...this
proves vital in the battle. As he is weakened Piccolo and Goku hatch a
plan to trap the warrior. Goku quickly grabs Raditz from behind as Piccolo
shoots his new attack...Special Beam Cannon. The attack bursts right
through the armour due to the damage caused by Gohan. It travels through
the Saiyan through Goku. Thus killing both of them. As Raditz dies Goku
starts to fade away, before raditz died, he told piccolo that two stronger
saiya-jins will arrive in one year. piccolo took gohan to train with him
because he knew that gohan had great power. He then travels into King
Yamas checkout station. There he is assigned to King Kai's training
center. The problem is, it is a 10,000 mile journey! He starts on his
journey only to fall of Snake Way into hell! There he find 2 dumbfounded
trolls which will hnot let him continue on his journey. He quickly tricks
them into letting him go as well as slipping away with some of King Yamas
fruit which will keep him from hunger for 3 months. As he goes farther
down Snake Way he comes across Princess Snakes palace where he is tricked
again but escapes. He finally arrives at King Kai's.
