Views and Points

Amid the thousands of CCS web sites in the web world, two unofficial CC/CCS sites emerged to be  very popular. These are Michael's Card Captors and Kyle's Card Captors Page. Meet the men behind these sites and know how these two handle their sites despite the busy schedule. Any secret why their sites stay on top? The proceeding conversation will tell you.

W: How did you become a CCS fan?
M: I fell in love with Cardcaptors the first time I saw it back in June of 2000. I saw the English version first before I saw the original Japanese version. I thought, what a neat idea, you could have a different card for each episode. I loved the storyline idea. I loved Cardcaptors so much I wanted to make a web site for it, but not just any site, one that I myself would enjoy going back to again and again. So I did some surfing to see what was already out there and what has already been done. I noticed two things, first only a couple of sites had any screen shots, and second no one could tell me what kinds of toys or other products to buy. The latter was a big thing for me. I was ready to buy some CCS/CC stuff, and lots of it!!!!! I decided to do the research and make my site devoted to the marketing and merchandise for both Cardcaptor Sakura AND...

KW: Well, in 2000 - I had to work early on a Friday, and we had Fraturday on KidsWB (which was the good shows), back then, I was into Pokemon, so I was taping it. I came home later on and saw that they had added a new show called "Cardcaptors," so I started to watch it. I got hooked at that point and started taping the whole series. Then, I won the original series on fansubbed CD's on eBay later on - and I loved both of them - great storyline, wonderful art, good cast of characters, what more is there to say? CCS is the greatest anime to come out of Japan.
