Alexiel, a beautiful angel starts a war against God, and loses. She manages to seal her insane brother Rociel in the earth before her demise Her spirit is torn from her body destended to reincarnate and die a horrible death each life time, while her body is sealed inside an angel crystal. Two demons Kurai and Archune manage to find Alexiel's body and start to search for her soul. They find it in the most unlikely place, a 16 year old boy named Setsuna Mudou. Meanwhile Katan raises Rociel from the earth.

My hands are tired so I hope you get the jist. This story is a 20 volume manga by Kaori Yuki (currently not released in the US) and the first Arch has become an 3 part OAV which ends in a cliff-hanger and there are currently no plans to continue it.
WARNING the story is dark, Sacriligous, and contains lots of insecst, homosexuality and cross-dressing. (and oh so good! Not to mention the art.)

What's a girl to do when she finds out she's a human sacrifice and the only one that can save the world from evil plant demons? Well maybe not the only one when she finds out she has a twin sister Keade. But Keade seems to have other plans. This is an interesting fun series that fallows Momiji the Kushinada and her group of scientists as they try and save the world. A bit above average in plot, with romance, comedy and horror, you can really get hooked on this 26 episode series. And to make it even more interesting I could actually live through the dub shown on the action network on Saturday nights! It is being released by ADV films (June 2002 they will release a box set for $59.95! Woah that's a deal!) Blue seed also has a sequel Blue Seed 2 that has been licenced by ADV.

Basic Plot Tom-boyish girl Utena battles against the duelists of the student council for her friend Anthy the Rose. The Duelists battle to win the rose bride, who will do whatever the winner of the duels wants.
TV Series This is a very Strange story, I've seen about 7 episodes of the anime and I haven't quite gotten hooked on it yet.
Utena:the movie Some Utena fan is gonna kill me for this I know but I like the movie more then what I saw of the series. A word of caution though: The movie is DARK, confusing, if you're not into metaphores you'll prabably hate it. Same basic plot. Utena is my favorite movie. Not anime movie, just movie in general.

I found the characters in this absolutely lovable, but sometimes I felt the plot dragging in the mud. It’s sort of a Tenchi take off cause all 3 marionettes are in love with Otaru. Another Romantic sci-fi comedy. I thought Bandai’s DVD release was a nice solid release, which I will gladly buy if I find it cheep enough. Not the best out there, but a good step if you’re new to anime. That said I thought the dub wasn’t very good. Lime’s dub voice really bugged me LONG LIVE LIME AND HER TRUE SEYUU HAYASHIBARA-SAN!

Series Info:
Saber Marionette R- The first marionette series. I haven’t seen it but this is what I know. It is an OVA and completely different from J and all of it’s spin-offs but still part of the marionette universe.
Saber Marionette J- described above a 26 episode series, nicely crammed in 3 DVD 2-disk sets.
Saber Marionette J Again- An OVA picking up soon after the TV series ended. I’ve actually seen this one too! It has some cute moments and a pretty basic plot of “Terra II’s gonna be destroyed again and only the marionettes (and the new chick) can save it.” Some REALLY horrible computer animation bending, some great image song endings, (gotta love Cherry’s) and one creepy opening with Japanese girls running around cosplaying the marionettes. Oh yeah and a whole mess of fan-service. (Aimed at males) Even though I’m female I found it hysterically funny.
Saber Marionette J to X- (not viewed yet) another 26 episode TV series with the marionettes being released by Bandai.
